Fitted some top quality* performance* rubber today. Replaced the slicks* on the back and corrected the fact that the tyres were the wrong profile and rubbed on the front arch liners biggrin

Primera is boringly reliable so I left a deposit on a car with the best* colour/interior combination I’ve ever seen yesterday

Drives well although it has a bit of a clunk from the front end when it’s warm. That’s for future TP to worry about.
Probably the inner track rod ball joints. Once the steering fluid heats tolerances change and they clunk. Cheap part, not a hard job.

That’s really interesting, I would never have expected that. It’s still doing it but is no worse.

It’s a bit ABS happy when braking at low speeds on rough roads so I think you’re onto something there
Usually Front N/S Rings.
I had CV Joint replaced on two P11s because of cracked Rings. ABS activating at low speed just before coming to a stop.
Has it got the standard Squeaky Wipers?

Yeah it does - someone’s been at it before trying to fix so they aren’t awful all of the time but still squeak sometimes

The Plastic Pivots wear.
The best fix used to be fitting Metal ones from the P10. Impossible to find now.

Some very cheap Aftermarket ones available from Poland. Need a strip and grease before fitting.

Thanks for that - I didn’t know they were available from anywhere.

Not sure whether I’ll be moving the Primera on or not once the X5 arrives - if it’s staying I think I’ll go to the effort to tidy up some of its little faults like this.

Picking up “the least X5” X5 on Thursday - almost feel I should start a YouTube vlog because of how rare it must be to find a 1 owner X5 in this colour combo

That's an "interesting" combination biggrin Each color on their own would be great, the marriage of the two, jury is still out. I approve tho, it's fab biggrin

Post the VIN number and surely someone would find out what colour(s) it has both inside and out.

Wow. I mean wow. Someone chose all that because they liked it - I feel that this might be "so bad it's good" smile

I love the X5! Which engine is it?

I don’t think that the colours are bad at all - they look great. I’ve never seen an X5 with them
