Loving the opulent colour combo of the X5. Just needs a bit for leather conditioner and some polish to make it sweet.

Like the outside colour of the X5 but that interior......hurl

The Primera GT is another unticked box for me, I always liked them growing up (and the later Almera GT as well) but I've never even driven one.
great to see they're still around!

Nice work Toaster Pilot, again driving
Most are plain black, and it's definitely better than that.

Shame that with brown/tan leather you get black plastics, but that's all I can complain about

The typical cheap X5 is black with black leather and black limo tinted windows, massive wheels painted black and some stick on chrome. 8 owners minimum.

Made it home biggrin. Car park is looking very “dentist’s surgery 2001” - even more so when the Primera was there too.

It drives very well apart from a slight judder from the front when braking gently from 50+.

Few slight issues I’ll get to in time:

Parking sensors inoperative / faulty
Cruise control inoperative
Drivers window regulator is tired and will need attention before it breaks
Autodimming wing mirror glass is burst on the drivers side so is a fetching brown to match the mahogany paint / leather.

Needs a proper clean and polish because the half arsed dealer prep isn’t to my liking, not a problem though.

Plugged in the fault code reader today - all 4 rear sensors are open circuit. Fronts work fine.

Guess the wiring or the control unit are dodgy. Will need to dig it out and have a look.

Been tidying up some odds and ends on this recently, like the burst OS auto dim mirror

Was a bd to change and expensive at £67 for a second hand glass!

Swapped the side repeaters for gingercators which I think match the paint better. Old clear ones were badly yellowing (no before pics sorry)

FEEL THE BROWN

The floor mats are dirt cheap rubber ones from eBay to try and keep the carpets clean over winter. They just look like those awful chequer plate ones you’re thinking of biggrin

They’re still awful and smell really bad too.

£23 for front, rear and boot mats was as cheap as they come though.
