993 Cup motor, whilst hugely different from the standard 3.8 RS road car engine, wasn't exactly highly strung J. For that, you'd want a 993 RSR with 3,8 litres, six individual throttle bodies and 375hp. https://rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/436951-993cu...
They made 22 of them (I chatted at length to the owner of one of them on Monday night) and they're neither slow, nor lacking in excitement. Gearshift/'box should be just fine (it got transferred over to the very first 996 Cups) before going to a different 'box (with cable change).
Enjoy

Moose I've got a spanked v low miles one of these (silver with black leather 2000 S) I bought for bits if you need stuff about 40mins down the m4 away. Box & calipers went in seconds, engine I've listed a few times to no avail, not tried with the other stuff yet so have tons of it.
I've been uming & arrhing ref getting a non spanked one too, for road & track use, so much on my plate at the moment it's not happened, but I think I'll have to scratch that itch.

Does it have heated seats? Here is mine which I bought in Jan 18, however it hasn't been cheap. The car needed a complete suspension re-fresh, tyres, wheel refurbishment, many new trim pieces, complete A/C overhaul and has cost a small fortune. The plus side is that it now drives beautifully and I always look forward to driving it, here are a few pictures.

I don't know, how could I tell?
The rear spaces on the centre console (behind the window switches) will have switches in them. If they are blanks then the seats are unheated.I may PM you about some body panels if your car is arctic silver, I have a few rust spots on my car.

Agreed, somat early like a 2.2s has a lovely zingy nature, no real grunt but is nice & free revving, a 2.7rs lump similar but more grunt but bit less zing, but most of the mainstream air cooled stuff just doesn't, a 9m built 993rs screamer does v much so, but it's not a cheap thing. iguana said:
