Pete have you found anything else out about the stolen Aston? Obviously I know you can't say much but wondering if there is anything you can tell us?
Also I know you didn't really like it so wondering if you are planning on replacing it?
Insurers think it’s been spotted in China!!!Also I know you didn't really like it so wondering if you are planning on replacing it?

I just spoke to my broker, they dealt with Hiscox and after the police had finished their investigation, they paid me.
And yes, I’m still insured with them. I think the biggest payout was for a totalled McLaren F1.
Given how awful that event was it's good to hear your insurers didn't make it any worse! And yes, I’m still insured with them. I think the biggest payout was for a totalled McLaren F1.
And it's great to see you are re-stocking your collection.
Good luck finding what you want.
Especially as I want to visit your museum if that is still part of your plan.
I echo the sentiment above, you only know how good your insurance company are when the st hits the fan. Any of them can take your premiums.
I had a situation where using a classic car insurance company a few years back and claimed for a crash that was horrific. They due to their size handed the case to one of these claims management companies whose teenage staff did their level best to try not to pay out. My bad in some respects as I had just annually auto renewed and the brokers had put errant information about claims history etc which I hadn’t spotted. My advice is read the policy document and then read it again at every renewal.
2MC what a cracking pair. I know you like 911s my mate has a stunning low mileage Turbo at Blakedown for sale. He is the owner selling on SOR just wish I could buy it.

Insurers underwrite boats, airliners and all sorts, this will be high for a motor claim but pale into insignificance relative to a boat or plane accident.
Exactly. A nearly complete Superyacht in Germany caught fire a couple of years ago. The claim was something like €800,000,000. Eight hundred million euros! Quite a few underwriters had a piece of this and are now less keen on insuring large yachts!Edited by J4CKO on Saturday 27th February 19:46

Coooor. Not RHD, so a deal breaker for me. Because naturally, I'm in the market for one. What a thing. Mean, moody, malevolent.
Ref the blue colour - was on track with the Toyota one for the last time it was allowed out to play at Days Day Out / The Supercar event. They were very generous...

If you watch the Supercar Driver video you’ll know that I sent the DB5 back to Aston and they nailed it properly. It ended up becoming a fantastic car. Here’s the video
