Lovely car!

On the shot you have of the dash showing just the speedo, under the PRND display is an icon of a nice hot cup of tea - what's that about?

Does it come fitted with a Goblin Teasmade type of accessory?

Not 100% perfect as the stitches are still slightly frayed compared to the rest of the seat, but virtually unnoticable and a great transformation IMO smile
Good job smile

Have you thought about replacing stitching using paper clips? Would give continuity!

(Sorry, couldn’t resist hehe)

Looking at a couple of ‘s’ cars this weekend, don’t like the interior as much with makeshift screen but prefer facelift front etc

You thought about a map? Not looked at it myself but would have thought massive potential given twin turbos, if gearbox would take it that is.

Side/Rear Tints:

PCMCIA > SD Adaptor
For some reason Mercedes in 2011 thought people would prefer PCMCIA Cards over SD cards, even though earlier cards had SD card slots already!?! - This adaptor allows SD cards to be used. (Car also has USB & iPod ports also):

Question.

On this model and the previous - how did you open the doors on really bad frost mornings? I had one as a car cls320cdi when my car was in for some work but I couldn’t open it with the frost / the window couldn’t drop due to being frozen incposition.

I’ve thought a lot about this on frameless doors - but they do seem to work even when frozen.

Another question ido all models come with the ski pack/through load system? Is it possible/does the option exist for split folding rear seats or are they fixed?

Just once in a while smear washing up liquid on the seals, never had a problem since.

The W219 (55) you couldnt put the rear seats down, however on this W218 CLS63 you can. I can also fit my moutainbike (with front wheel removed) inside it.

Lovely looking car!
I noticed a couple of people have asked in your thread how the performance compares with your previous 55.
Could you provide a comparison as I would also be interested.
Thanks

Is the 5.5 bu turbo 4 valve per piston or 3 like the 5.4k?

Just arrived Carporn Fibre (real Carbon Fiber) rear diffuser: Note the lack of hole for the rear foglight as its made for US Spec cars. going to have to get my Dremmel out.

Larger 'Fins' which should add around 20Bhp smile

Hi, I plan on filming a video on my channel going into details with this. The '55 feels like your getting kicked in the back, the '63 its like a hyperdrive "Punch it Chewie" kinda car biggrin

Thanks,

It was from eBay - Chinese seller, no mounting brackets or anything so had to drill into it. otherwise its fine.
