Looks very clean

I had a black one years ago. I remember it feeling really solid and well made , especially the interior.

The mk5 gti I had felt really cheap inside compared to the mk4

People used to slate the these handeling wise however I fitted some coilovers and it wasn’t to bad at all
Very true mate the problem with the Mk5 was the crap metal they used the rust was bad

No, he should have "bought" them from you. laugh

The MK4 Golf was very 2nd rate IIRC - I had a 2000 Leon Cupra that was better in every way, except for the damping of the cup-holders! Still I'd trade that for 30 bhp. laugh

Personally I think putting non-OEM wheels on these makes them look chavvy.

Perhaps looks at some of these.

Looks like a nice car. Twists will go well on it.

Similar project to mine, although mine will be at a slower rate. You have an advantage with having a KO3S already, thats one of the upgrades i want to do.

Will keep an eye on your progress.

I bought it from the first owner in late 2013. Poly bushed it, fitted the Bora sport wheels and ran it for 25000 miles.

You say you've fitted leather to it, What happened to the factory heated eather trim it did have?
