A couple of long trips for the Focus coming up, Beeston Castle in a week's time then Witley Court the following Saturday. The 2 trips will add over 500 miles.

Put some new car mats in the Focus today to replace the dirty knackered old ones, looks better.

Is it bad that I take one look at those and thin Continental Wintercontact t830?

(they seem to have changed the shape of the tread, now their T860 has that shape...)

Looking good!

It's just been dropped off at the garage for the MOT, I don't anticipate any problems but you never know especially with an older car. There's about 1000 miles worth of trips planned for next week so it might click over the 200k milestone by the end of next month.

Fingers crossed! But isn't an EML an instant fail?

When my cat converter was on its last legs, resetting the light kept it off for a period of time.

Congrats!

On a completely random note, I have had a good service from mytyres in the way dim and distant past!

Looking like a really clean pass too - long my that continue! - Sorry, you may have mentioned the EML pass / fail criteria in the past - I am going to blame the heat getting to me...

Thanks Peanut Gallery. Advisories were EML which I knew about, and 3 tyres worn on edge, which I knew a couple of them would need replacing soon, so it's getting 3 new tyres now and has had oil and filter change. Total bill will be about £270. Not a bad showing for a 13 year old car with nearly 200k on the clock.

Nice ride out this weekend, over to Witley Court yesterday then last night in Ironbridge then down to Goodrich Castle today. I really enjoyed piloting the Focus round the twisty B roads between Ironbridge and the A49.

Another trip to Ironbridge planned for September with the OH, plan is to (finally) get round some of the other museums in the gorge. It will have joined the 200k club by then
