How accurate do other Foci owners find the fuel consumption on the on board computer? I was giving it a blast earlier to clear it out a bit and it reckoned it was doing high 40s mpg in 3rd at 70mph, that can't be right surely?

Good luck with the MOT!

Mine does not have an instant readout, so it still reads 32 mpg when coasting downhill, and when flooring it up the hill, at 6,5k in second.

In other random news, anyone know where one can find a new reverse light cluster, a low wall visualisation tool and a wall repair guy?

Not sure about a wall visualisation tool but a new reverse light cluster should be available from breakers or a certain online auction site. Just heard them call out headlamp alignment out, one is high and the other low. Emissions are fine.

I'm sensing that there may have been a light cluster wall interface, resulting in light cluster malfunction alongside partial wall disintegration? smile

Maybe the car was parked there and the wall took off and drove at it lol. Good news is the Focus has passed, there's some advisories but not too bad for a 12 year old 183k mile car.

yes Hey, when I do it, I do it properly (ditch, entire bumper, exhaust, tyres off rims, removal of fences, etc) - when SWMBO does it the damage is contained to a light fitting, an even more scratched bumper, and a few lumps of dry wall now dry floor.

Anyway! - congrats Eyersey! - 187,704 miles, not one advisory showing on the MOT site! - good going, enjoy!

Thanks, I'm glad it's got through. There are a few things they have pointed out but it's not a bad showing for a car of its age and mileage

On the way back from Whitby earlier I thought I'd take the Focus up Staxton Hill to see how it coped compared with my old Fiesta, whereas the Fiesta struggled to maintain 3rd gear the Focus was quite happy going up in 4th, just shows how much more powerful it is.
