I suspect it depends on how long the waiting list is in two years. It's currently quoted (possibly optimistically) at 12 months - but production doesn't seem to be quite ramping up to meet that target. So I expect them to be on long delivery for at least a couple of years - as a result I'd expect them to hold their value well for that period. Longer term impossible to say.
I reckon the Alpine will hold its value very well, and certainly just as much as the Porsche Cayman 4-cyl even in a good few years time. Already it's been mooted as one of the greatest modern-day sports cars with many car mags putting it ahead of the Porsche. Those factors themselves will be enough to guarantee good residuals. Plus it's in high demand, not many will come to the UK and is highly desirable. If it was a disappointment like the Alfa 4C then it would be different, but it's not - it's a revelation. A guaranteed future classic too - I think prices will end-up similar to the path taken by the Delta integrale Evo which had a similar "great car" impact when it was launched, they're out of reach of most folk now.

I've just passed 850 miles in mine including 360 mile journey back from Scotland and I simply love it. I have had the chance to drive some pretty special cars but in real world terms this takes some beating. It's not the fastest but every journey is an event even a short journey I grab the chance to take this. I can't think what I would ever replace this with.

I’ve got a Pure on order, delivery mid-March. Big brakes, Fuchs, Sports exhaust
Weight is the biggest attraction, though would have also preferred a manual box.
Really looking forward to it - there’s not a bad review out there,

Given your history of cars (I've enjoyed reading a few of your posts on PH) I would be really interested to hear your thoughts on it.

The delivery of the PE was delayed with dates revised time after time but I hope they have sorted it all out now. The French Alpine forum though has been grumbling about delivery dates so may be one to keep an eye on.

I have a Pure on order too - heated seats (I swore a decade and a half ago I'd never buy a car without them), mirrors, Focal sound system and the sports exhaust (still not 100% on that).

I had a very short shortlist - Morgan Roadster, 2 year old Evora 400, and the Alpine. The other obvious alternatives just didn't appeal. The Morgan was hilarious and I'd love another go, but don't want to own one (yet). The Evora was magnificent - much more live-with-able than I'd expected, and so brilliantly mechanical, but it took about a minute in the A110 to know that that was the right one for me - pretty much the perfect balance of usability and just being utterly lovely to drive.

It's going to be my weekday car - at weekends I have a wife and dog who want to go down muddy potholed tracks deep into the woods, so the Golf Alltrack will be getting that honour.

Finally had a look round one today and fell in love. Plan to go back for a drive and to discuss financials. Can anyone provide a rough guide of APR or even pcp breakdown I should expect (£5 down, 8k annum if that helps). Was hoping Alpine may be offering 0% Apr deals and some discount.

Thanks in advance!

You will be lucky to get any discount on these given the limited production and the long waiting lists. Similarly, I will be very surprised if you are offered 0% APR financing deals as this is not a volume product like a Renault Clio.

=Alpine A110 mid term review.=

I have posted my initial thoughts on the car before, and plenty of odd comments since. – but I thought it might be useful to expand on them now I have done over a 1000 miles. I’ll include other common impressions and try to address some concerns raised. As my previous car was a Cayman 981S and I have driven a 718 I’ll comment on the comparison where I feel it’s helpful.

I could give chapter and verse on all aspects of the car – but that has been done in many reviews. Since, for the most part, I concur with the consensus of independent reviews I will start with a summary of that consensus and highlight areas where I disagree – or where issues are simply not addressed.
.....
Only just came across this review - Thank you for sharing! Very useful read~!

Demands isn't high for ex demonstrators - most people are ordering their own spec.

They were new unregistered cars

The showroom cars are not pre registered.
Only 1 Demo car per dealer is registered.

Yeah, both options sound very unlikely. I can't imagine how you can get a discount when production is so limited people may be ready to pay even more.

"Deep Review" underway at Renault too. if Alpine is canned these little gems won't be on offer or depreciating very much.

came across this thread... i took delivery of my pure 2 weeks ago. i am so delighted with the car.
i have had only porsche, the latest one is a 981 CTS (manual, x73, pccb and bucket seats for those inknown).
the cayman is great in that spec (cf autocar) but more difficult on uk road. I track it most of the time or drive far far away on the mainland in mountains and then it is great!

anyway, 1k miles in my a110 so far and looking fwd to do much more!

Have been seriously thinking about an A110’S, but a little concerned that it might be a bit comprised over the pot hold ridden roads that I unfortunately drive on. But the other idea was to use it on a few trips to Europe and thought it might prove to be a better all rounder on trips like this!🤔
Matt Grey would have been my preferred colour but since it’s pretty much available across all models of the car it’s probably not special enough when the extra cost for this option is considered and then needs Paint protection film needs to be added as it stone chips fairly easily.
All comments and suggestions welcome!

These are very lovely things indeed and I’d be very tempted by one if I was in the market for a c£45-50k sports car.

I particularly like the fact that they are not the default choice - i.e. Porsche. I love a left-field choice, especially when it is probably better than the obvious alternative!

I took delivery of my A110s just over 2 months ago and have only covered 800 miles so far due to lockdown. The ride is quite firm and has less ‘give’ than the Pure or Legende but never uncomfortable and once of a decent stretch of tarmac it flows really nicely. I went for Glacier White in the end as I liked the idea of a blank canvas should I want to wrap it in the future. It’s is going to pretty special whatever colour you go for on the basis only 19 ‘S’ models were registered in the UK last year smile
