Well sadly the handover had to be aborted today as the Retailer was unable to register the car due to a system issue.
It will have to wait until next week.
Yes I will be taking it to the Nurburgring next year

Only teasing, you've obviously had a good run with them. Love the car, and it seems like it's one of those specials that owners are using.
Keep us posted
wow didn't even know about these :
Looks insane - and I would love one...
were it not for the LHD only issue which I understand is due to a new subframe being needed to go rhd, and this in turn reducing body stiffness (ref: Evo magazine), which if so somewhat surprising given JLR lineage.
Good luck with the new car :-) It surely has to be an investment opportunity as well as a smile generator?
BTW Is the sunroof standard or optional out of interest?

Got to look at it in the wider business case view as well, there are 300 cars worldwide, so the UK (and other RHD market) share is tiny - investment in making an RHD one just doesn't pay off - you'd have to do twice as many crash tests for a start, not a cheap process, not to mention part complexity as you point out.were it not for the LHD only issue which I understand is due to a new subframe being needed to go rhd, and this in turn reducing body stiffness (ref: Evo magazine), which if so somewhat surprising given JLR lineage.
I also think for the type of car this is, LHD isn't really a worry. Maybe it's just me, but I feel absolutely comfortable driving my German car in England whenever I visit and my English car in Germany when I drive it in summer - but then I must admit it's never really worried me, some people I talk to simply can't comprehend how I can do either of those things, so perhaps I'm unique in that view.
The amount of work to make this car is amazing, for example even the headlights are further forward and lower than a standard XE because they had to push the whole front end forward by ~100mm just to package the V8 in. I've got a sneaking suspicion that only the roof panel is standard shape, being made out of CF for the P8. I was briefly involved with the first demo car and it was a tight squeeze to say the least (engine bay/underbonnet).

Only The roof and front doors are carried over from the standard XE, they are not CF however....the bonnet, wings, bumpers, splitter, diffuser, spoiler, side skirts, mirror covers and interior trim are however CFI also think for the type of car this is, LHD isn't really a worry. My understanding on moving the headlights was to fit 265 section Cup 2 tyres in 20”

For the last week it’s been at Xpel being templates for PPF, which is an absolute must given some aspects of the design (arch cut away for eg.)
Here is at Xpel, prior to PDI so still with transport protection etc
Is it wrong that I think it looks epic with the transport covers on the wheels? Here is at Xpel, prior to PDI so still with transport protection etc
It's like an XE by Alessi...
