Well done on managing to get one of these. Can we look forward to some YouTubing? I used to enjoy your F type videos.

Good grief, they might at least have ironed the bloody cover!

Ah I see smile Can't wait to see more of this, love the look of the Project 8. I recently swapped my old 4.2 XKR for a 5.0 and that was a big step up despite being essentially the same chassis. I've driven a couple of regular XEs now as courtesy cars, the way they flow along a B road is amazing, even in 2.0 diesel spec, one of these with the big V8 must be amazing...

I'm not a fan of outdoor covers, I've had problems with damaged paintwork in the past where the cover rubs against it in the wind, plus they can trap moisture even if they are supposedly breathable. They seem like a good idea in theory but I wouldn't use one again...

Thats a full blown hero car order! Will you be doing euro trips/ track outings with it still?

I'm looking forward to the pictures once collected, hopefully you'll get a lot posted with some detailed shots of the more special areas!

Well sadly the handover had to be aborted today as the Retailer was unable to register the car due to a system issue.

It will have to wait until next week.

Yes I will be taking it to the Nurburgring next year

I'll be watching this with interest. I do love Mr Metcalfe but he isn't unbiased when it comes to JLR obviously!

The Project 8 is one of the cars which made me swap my Lotus for my Supercharged E92 - there's something kinda special about a big, bruising saloon/coupe with a V8 in it and a track focus.

Just a shame they did them only in LHD or I'd have had one. Oh, and if they'd been more like £30k not 130!

Oh well, nothing's perfect. Hope you enjoy many miles in it adadk!

Lucky man, it's a lovely motor.
I've got a modified XFR with the same exhaust sound and it's truly addictive, enjoy the ride.

You must be gutted at the delay, hope it is not too long.
