Yours looks amazing, mine had a carbonio induction kit, Raceland 6 branch, Raceland decat pipe and Magnex cat back stainless steel system which sounded amazing.
Still miss it!
Did you buy this off a jamie from northern ireland? Friend of mine who had bought it as a standard vr6 in blue, made the classic mistake of buying it in the rain, when it was dried off the paintwork was horrid. So he got it a full respray to sort all the rust and poor paint in the mini cooper pepper white. I still remember a very spirited drive along the a75 to try and catch the ferry back to belfast, car really impressed me with how well it handled on the limit on the twisties! also had an indicated 155 leptons on the speedo on the m6 Great cars!Still miss it!

Hmm, what a surprise. I loved mine for the handling, but it was, without doubt, the most unreliable car I've ever owned. Engine out twice in 9 months to sort out glazed bores. It had a litany of other issues including broken door handles, sunroof motor and mechanism, fuel pump relay, seized calipers, porous sump, cracked dashboard. German reliability at it's best. The Evo 8 I've owned for 16 years continues to put up with little attention for the winter period, followed by months of grief without complaint. I loved my Corrado. If I could find a late model blackberry metallic with sensible miles and somewhere to park it, I'd have another one tomorrow.

Sounds like you were unlucky and got a poorly maintained car. To be fair most of the things you mention are now well documented and there are improved versions so most current runners will have had those issues fixed. I loved my Corrado. Similar experience here. Bought the car at 3 years old and had to get rid of 12 months later. I just couldn’t trust it. Relays, fuses, rads, head gasket. Lovely car to drive, but not own.

Yep not at all surprised! Lovely car to drive, but not own.
A shame really and maybe why the cars are valued lower than say the equivalent model Golf's all about perceived issues especially from used car dealers....
I owned a Corrado VR6 for just over 14 years. Bought at 6 months old with just over 7,500 miles on the clock, and I put a further 142,000 miles in it.
It was an extremely reliable car, only becoming less so very late in its life.
There were a few known issues, all of which were well understood and easily fixed. Or, as with the sunroof, you just didn't bother fixing. In fact, when Wheeler Dealers did a Corrado VR6, every single issue they addressed was a known common issue. Including the sunroof.

so was this thread just a big ol advert then?
Not bothered if it was, just interested.
Whether or not it was an advert for the car, it was a great advert for the detailer - I've just emailed them about my car. Amazed at what they can accomplish for what seems to be a very reasonable price. Not bothered if it was, just interested.
