Had mine a year now and the only complaint I have is having to visit the petrol station every 220 miles. I get 18mpg during the week but have seen 26mpg fully loaded over a 200 mile journey. A 65 ltr tank is a joke on a car like this !
7 years old now and 89,000 miles. Everything works as it should and no rattles or squeaks. Just waiting for these Dunlops to wear down a bit before I get something decent to keep me on the road - ok in the dry but in the wet it'll spin the wheels at 60+
Mid-range is addictive, 1.9 seconds to go from 50 to 70mph in a family saloon.
Only problem is what to get next !

Jesus christ that sounds good Yeah mine is also on the Dunlop sport Maxx tyres and they seem ok... I will be getting it on some PS4S when these wear out I think.
As you say the mid range is nuts! It pulls real hard right to the red line but you can’t get there too often haha...
I have just been trying to modify my existing phone mount which used to be on my vents so that I can use it in the Jag for Waze when on long journeys.
Also the car does sound awesome it’s just a little on the quiet side in the car so I think some backboxes from spires may be on the menu at some point!

Took the car out for its first proper run on some decent country 'A' roads and wow... I have never been in anything like it for pure overtaking ability, With the car in dynamic mode and the gearbox in sport or on the paddles the thing just fly's! The torque is the main thing it just surges and the engine takes on a much harder note as you wind it on, Its a real dual personality car as when you are getting after it in this manner the car feels much more wieldy and grippy and agile but then when you are just crusing around at less that mach 2 the car is quiet and comfortable.
Another thing that I hav noticed is how smooth the ZF 8 speed is but also how quick to respond it is, Having come from an S-tronic gearbox that was remapped the shift speed going up the box doesn't seem all that much slower if at all really and the gearbox is more intelligent than the s-tronic was meaning that theres less of a pause whilst the correct gear is selected for overtaking etc. The only time that the box is noticeably slower than the dual clutch is on downshifts, the s-tronic used to downshift quicker but also more abruptly than the ZF seems to.. So where the ZF is a bit softer/slower on the downshift it also unsettles the car a lot less as it seems to finesse the change a little more.
Anyway I will stop rambling now but just wanted to get this info down! haha

Just had the spires stage 2 exhaust fitted this afternoon, so far it’s terrible for fuel economy but quite excellent for my ears!
I will have to give it a couple of hundred miles to bed in before seeing what it’s really like but it already sounds like it has unleashed the potential of the engine vocally.
Anyway here’s a short clip, I will get a better one at some point soon and a comparison video.

I can definitely vouch for the PS4S, bought mine from Costco (when they had the £100 discount) last year and they are still holding up well, even after some abuse on the Welsh roads. As you say the mid range is nuts! It pulls real hard right to the red line but you can’t get there too often haha...

Unfortunately the Dunlops cannot compare to the amount of grip and confidence given with the Michele tyres.
After they were scrubbed in, i took the car to Wales for a few days (during the week, so the roads were clear), when you get a chance, i would highly recommend it.

Haha I have watched that video a couple of times and it was one of the deciding factors on getting the spires exhaust so thanks for that! I can’t wait for some summer weather, the Dunlop’s have improved a great deal with the weather getting a bit warmer they seemed very temperature dependant, more so than other tyres I have had.
I am also glad it’s warm so I can always have my window open to listen to the exhaust now!
Another thing worth adding is that the battery in the car was run quite far down I noticed a few days after getting the car(it wasn’t doing the heartbeat on the start button and the vents didn’t open every time I turned the car on) I got in touch with the supplying garage and they said get a new one and bill them so I have done that and fitted the new one and all is good as gold now!
Just another pic to show the exhaust.

Well a little further update, the exhaust is bedding in nicely and sounding better as it does. I had a chance to press on a bit today for the first time since having it done and my conclusion is that it sounds like a fully lit nascar or something now with a wide open throttle but it can still pootle quietly when required which I was keen not to lose.
All in all I am very happy with the spires system, I will try and get the GoPro out soon and get it stuck on the back for some better video of the car moving.
