Cheers guys !
The car is registered in Jan/2002 making it a facelift. Being 17 years old naturally the car isn't 100% perfect , there's a few dead pixels on the dashboard which need addressing and the paintwork is in need of a paint correction. But largely the car isn't in too bad a condition. Preventative maintenance work is also on the radar namely rod bearings & chain guides. I'll be working my way through the list of items gradually over the year and next. Most likely the car will be visiting Steve @ Mr Vanos for the preventative jobs mentioned above OR perhaps Phil @ CPC

Great colour combo, really makes a difference on these.
I still hugely regret not buying a facelift Oxford Green example with caramel heritage leather when I had the opportunity.... Still hoping it will surface for sale again, but the market has moved on for decent examples. I may end up with an E46 M3, which is no bad thing!

Perhaps not the same car that you saw when you had that opportunity but my Oxford Green facelift with full caramel heritage is going nowhere so that's one less from an already very small pool, I'm afraid! Thanks all for the really nice comments I really appreciate them
I absolutely agree about the wood trim - for now I’ll be preserving the originally of the car but would definitely consider changing it out for something that looks a bit more smart
Here’s a few snaps of the E46 M3

Being an E39 M5 fanatic it’s always disappointing to see the lack of them on the road or at local car shows
I wanted to connect driver’s of these cars and as 2 of my good friend have this car already I created a what’s app group for us. The group has been growning since and as it stands there’s 27 owners on there now. Here’s a picture of some of us out on a foggy Sunday morning

The what’s app group is for UK based E39 M5 owners who are up for drives, meeting and discussing anything E39 M5 related. If anyone is interested please DM me your number and i’ll get any of you added
Prerequisite of course is that you must own an E39 M5
Pete, would love to be added to the WhatsApp group please (I own an E39 M5 which I'm taking to Brands Hatch on Monday). Your settings don't currently allow DM so please DM me for my numberPrerequisite of course is that you must own an E39 M5
