New one being built on Monday onwards
It'll be around the same size.
As the archetypal PH; well-built, powerful, company director we can surmise money won't be a problem. It'll be around the same size.
I'd suggest building as big as you possibly can for the garage (within reason, obviously).
You'll always use the space and while you're building it, you may as well go big or go home!

Next doors garage, built many, many years back before I was around (late 60s / early 70s) is twice the length and goes right down the full length of our garden...
But I've also got a huge raised bed alongside that garage where I grow a lot of veg & fruit and I don't want to lose that at all...
So we're doing as best as we can size wise, I don't want it eating into the garden any more than necessary
But on the flip side; we've a huge section of the woods that our garden backs into that I'm fencing off for a large plastic storage shed and a chicken run

It'll be around the same size, but moved back and into garden a bit more, so it won't be for the cars unfortunately
Surely a garage built for a non car purpose is just a shed? It'll be around the same size, but moved back and into garden a bit more, so it won't be for the cars unfortunately
It will fit the wifes Racing Jazz; but it's too tight for the touring unfortunately. The driveway is very narrow and as the garage is slightly offset; it's too tight on one corner to get the touring in without risking catching it...
Lanoguard underseal kit ordered; will try to get that done ASAP
I've also ordered an E39 M5 16.5mm rear ARB & necessary polybush ARB bushes; front poly ARB bushes to be fitted also. Will fit new rear drop links too whist it's all out
Will be ordering ATE PowerDisc rear discs and ATE Ceramic pads when the stockist in Germany confirms they're both in stock; avoiding Autodoc at all costs currently as they're so unreliable!

I've had many recommendations for AutoDoc but I've always used CarParts4Less myself.
Owned by ECP but consistently cheaper and (recently) has the added benefit of being delivered the same day i ordered by my local ECP!
I’ve found CP4LESS delivery times are rarely what they quote. AUTODOC have tracking and only take slightly longer + have a much better app for choosing parts.Owned by ECP but consistently cheaper and (recently) has the added benefit of being delivered the same day i ordered by my local ECP!

Neither do the ATR discs or pads though unfortunatelyOwned by ECP but consistently cheaper and (recently) has the added benefit of being delivered the same day i ordered by my local ECP!
I always source my oil & Mann filters via ECP or CP4L though and generally via their eBay pages as they're cheaper again
Autodoc; currently, I personally won't go anywhere near

Yup; the old girl did earn her keep with the numerous tip runs; thank goodness for large tarps and rubber matting Oh, and a good car vacuum
Little mechanical update:
Front PSB ARB poly bushes fitted; stopped the random clunk that developed last week

Lanoguard underseal kit ordered yesterday; will update when that lands and I've managed to get some of the undersealing done (with pics)
Car also booked in with my pal for Wed 23rd June for the following work:
- New Febi propshaft bearing
- Rear E39 M5 ARB upgrade with poly bushes & new rear drop links
- Rear ATE PowerDisc discs and ATE Ceramic pads
- Probably new rear calipers
- Meyle handbrake kit to be fitted also
I may also look into buying & installing all new Arnott rear SLS bags; I'll decide closer to the time

I've used Autodoc. I've found them slow to deliver but the correct parts were sent. I only order from them if I want parts that I'm not in a hurry for and they're the cheapest.
I ordered TRW front arms from them for my E90 M3 because they were a third of the price for literally the same parts as OEM just with the BMW logo ground off, and in a TRW bag instead of a BMW one. Happy to wait a bit for savings like that.

Are there no UK suppliers of the ceramic pads? I see the ate discs are easily available over here but not the pads?
As long as you don't need them ASAP I've found auto doc just fine.
Couldn't find the ATE PowerDiscs for an E39 from a UK reseller at all; some on eBay, but all from Germany... As long as you don't need them ASAP I've found auto doc just fine.
I've got 4 weeks for them to land; fingers crossed they do land in time!
