Hope you recovery is swift (ribs are 6 weeks apparently according to the last nurse I spoke to). The end of one project opens the door to a new one.
Just over 3 weeks in and they are still hurting like a b* tch but looking forward to a new project to get my teeth stuck in to .Speedy300 said:
Sorry to hear about the accident, wishing you a speedy recovery.
I popped up to Goodwood on the day to watch the track day as I am local. I remember your car was flying round along with a couple of mini's. I've enjoyed reading this build and l look forward to your next project.
My Clio 182 suffered the same fate around Goodwood...
Yes car was going very well and Goodwood must be one of my favourite tracks but it is dam fast and no room for any errors as I have found out .I popped up to Goodwood on the day to watch the track day as I am local. Ohhh that was a big one!
Firstly: glad you are mostly ok, and wish you well with your ongoing recovery.
Secondly: such a shame, this was a great build with superb attention to detail
Thirdly: I look forward to reading about the next build!
All the best matey
Yes it was a big impact and not one that I would like to do again but this comes with the territory of driving hard on trach so I can accept this .Firstly: glad you are mostly ok, and wish you well with your ongoing recovery.

New build will be next year and already looking folward to it .
So if you're going for something N/A will you go small and light or get something bigger with more power to make up for the lack of a turbo? Or will you MX5 like most people?
I remember that Range Rover L322 thread a few years back where they stripped and tracked it, what a hoot that must've been

Think it will still be FWD and modist power but still thinking about plans .I remember that Range Rover L322 thread a few years back where they stripped and tracked it, what a hoot that must've been
The fiesta way very fast and a bit of a weapon on track so the replacement will be much slower but I'm in a way looking folward to this .

So many variables The fiesta way very fast and a bit of a weapon on track so the replacement will be much slower but I'm in a way looking folward to this .
Lower power I guess makes it safer in a way, more predictable and more focus on handling. Not having a turbo to upgrade removes some cost as well!
Always wanted to track something completely silly, like a Suzuki Alto, or a Toyota Aygo, just to see if you could embarrass bigger cars like the old K11 Micras do. Plus you'd have the benefit of the car being cheap in the first place, though aftermarket support isn't as good I guess.
Or you could go predictable and get an EP Civic. Or a Fiesta ST150. Edit: Oooh! Or a Renaultsport Clio!

I miss this thread!
are you selling any parts?
Yes I will be stripping the car and seling all parts when ribs are recovered ( caught covid last week so might be a bit longer ) are you selling any parts?
Just had Covid myself, it wasnt pleasant but coming through it now, was double vaccinated so conspiracy theories aside, logic dictates in my simplistic world that it made it less unpleasant than it could have been.
Get well soon !

Yeah not feeling too bad now so the double jabs seem to do there job .
Damn.... Had some time off, and looking for the threads I enjoyed reading... Really sad this one will not have any update anymore
As everyone said, you are (kind of) fine, which is the most important by far!
Thanks for the nice thread, your attention to details, and nice way of sharing the build Looking forward for the next one Take care!
