I have, but I don't think they will be of any use tbh. It will be one of the issues I listed above so just need to work through them. If the pump doesn't prime then I need to check the fuses and then see if I can hear the relay module doing anything (if it is supposed to make a noise). Then if all that is fine then it'll be the pumps.
Fingers crossed on the fuse for you

It wasn't.

No idea what it is. Fuel pump primes but no start. So all I can hope for is that the pump is priming but not putting fuel through.

Fuel pump. Definitely fuel pump. Disconnected the main line to the fuel rail and when the pump primed nothing came out. It should have gushed out.

Managed to get the car to my local indy today. Managed to get it going, working on it with my father in law. Whatever we did when getting the fuel pump out must have had an affect on it as yesterday it would not put fuel out, today it did.

Now just to wait for the parts to turn up and get them taken to the indy.

Who is playing, me or the reader? hehe

Once the fuel pumps are sorted it'll be grand. I knew they needed doing, just didn't think they would fail like they did. C'est la vie.

Cheers! Got a bit more money to spend this week and it's unlikely I will get the new tyres fitted in time before I go down to Exeter on Friday, but it is what it is. I am just glad we got it running yesterday as I was starting to think it was more than just a dodgy pump. Hopefully the parts turn up tomorrow or Tuesday and I can get them to my indy quick smart.

Cheers! I would have liked a red interior but the Silverstone merino does nicely, and is a change from black. Does need some work doing to it though.

Lovely car, OP and the first post is the reason most of us on here daren't leave our cars with anyone laugh

What a nightmare though. I figured you'd had it sorted by Mr Vanos when I saw you'd been to Darlington. Always heard good things about him.

Cheers.

I thought I could trust him, but he, the owners "club" and some members of the community let me down. Hey ho. I trust Mr VANOS, and DM Worx who are my indy and have never let me down. Hopefully when the fuel pump arrives on Wednesday and I get it to them on Wednesday, it won't take too long for them to fit. I think it is about an hour to 2 hours work.

Fuel pumps / filter etc arrived and taken to the garage. Hopefully they can find time to fit them before Friday. If not then I'm taking the wife's Twingo to Exeter rofl

Cheers. It's done. Slight issue with the fuel level sender on the drivers side so may need to look at that. Also a strong fuel smell outside the car when full, but there are no leaks that I can see, and it did this before the new pumps were fitted. Smells like it is breathing heavily, but will check the caps for leaks when I can. Had new caps etc fitted and the garage did fill it up for me to check for leaks.

The pointed out the fuel level sender issue to me as well and have offered to have another look at it when there is less fuel in the tank. Work was finished at 11pm last night to ensure I had it back for tomorrow, cannot fault that at all. Top top guys are DM Worx, 120% recommended.

I am already bankrupt rofl

Where is the fun in that? I've got too much money in it now to give it away. It's an old V10 5 series BMW - I never went into ownership expecting it to be cheap. It's just small things now.

I don't disagree, but life is too short to not do crazy stuff every now and then.
