Fair play to you.
You'll probably get loads of abuse from all the sad old gits on here who can't remember being young, I'm getting pretty old and have long grown out of this sort of thing, but can see why you are doing it at your age.
Fair play.
Wes
Exactly this. You are creating something personal too you, well done. You’ll be doing it for the rest of your life, and your style will change with it.

I remember fitting my 1st Fibreglass aerial and Sharp apss stereo ( Ffwd and rev!) and thinking i was the danglers.

And as said, bloody fair play to you. Look forward to the updates. clap

Be kind.

I can see the craftmanship. I can see the time and energy and skill

But we all know that less is more.

I am jealous of the time you have, available to do the project, but i am not jealous of the result.

I would suggest burning the finished article.

Sorry
You literally have no idea what the finished article would look like..
Less is more is also your own opinion..
I wouldn’t be too jealous of the time I have available working 65 hours a week...

But thanks anyway bud.

Thank you for the nice comment and thanks to everyone else that commented wether you like it or not.
I won’t update on here as clearly it’s not the place for it, I don’t mind some feedback, but quite obviously it’s not the sort of project that fits in on this site
I’ll see my self out.

Thanks 🙏

Despite my jovial post it looks like you’ve done some great work. I’m sure the finished car will be great.

You would probably have got a better reception with some bolt on arch extensions and a track sl@g vibe smile

Be cool to see some finished photos even if it isn’t my cup of tea. Best of luck getting it done.

Wow, there is a lot of work that has gone into that. Have you done all of the work yourself? At 17? It is better than anything I did at the same age.

You're not sorry though.

It's posts like this that make people like the OP not bother.

Shame you've decided to leave the thread OP. As many have said the car is not my cup of tea but then again i'm 50 years old. Peoples tastes are all different and opinions vary. Take it on the chin and continue to update the thread. For every hater theres a lover and all that.

Admirable work and obviously something your very proud of and rightly so. I for one would love to see the finish article.

Keep up the good work.

I'd honestly encourage you to continue posting. You have the right attitude as you don't care what others think, but sadly those people can't help but leave an arsey reply.

It's not really my thing but I'm envious of the skills you clearly have and can't wait to see the finished article. Plus I've always had a soft spot for the mk5 Fiesta!

The 90s called, they want their purple anodising back.

Like the performance mods.. the body mods.. it's a no from me. Don't delude yourself about adding value with them, if you have ambitions to buy a better car to start with, put your money towards that, as you'll never see it back with this one.

Not my cup of a tea at all, but I applaud the effort and think it's a good way of spending your time (if not your money) tinkering, learning, creating and most importantly having fun. Crack on, sir.
I second this, the mods you have done aren't really my cup of tea either but you have made a really good effort with it and will have learned a lot. 10/10 for effort OP.

Isn't it sad that as soon as something like this pops up, the 'it's cool to be a c*nt' crew wade in like Bully Big Baws being quite cut throat. Yes, opinions... yes say it as it is and all that but seems to be a certain demographic picking on a certain demographic. Yet elsewhere people are dragging garbage out ditches, dropping stupid money on crap cars or parading yet another new thing that impresses the boorish types yet nobody else gets such hostility. Why not appreciate the diversity and variety this forum has and if you don't like it, run along and keep quiet. Anyways, he's gone so that's free'd up some bandwidth for another M140... marvellous.

You beat me to it - there're some proper s on here. I've grown used to it on NP&E (even quite enjoy it) but on a thread like this it's out of line.

That has/had the potential to be really interesting
