Caterham Seven 310R
Discussion
After test driving and discussing options at Caterham South (Gatwick) a few weeks ago on the way to a track day at Brands Hatch, I'm about to order this 310R through Williams Caterham.
Spec: Seven 310, Gulf blue, standard chassis, R-Pack, painted '7' grille, painted noseband and bonnet stripe, lowered floor, fully carpeted interior, black leather seats, heater, clear lens pack, battery master cut-off switch, trackday roll bar, full windscreen, hood and side screens, side screen armrests, carbon vinyl boot cover
R-Pack: 5-speed gearbox, limited-slip differential, lightweight flywheel, sport suspension pack, uprated brake master cylinder, carbon-fibre dashboard, 4-point race harnesses, black pack, unique key, gearknob & instruments, shift light, 15" anthracite Orcus wheels with Avon ZZS
It won't be delivered until Jan/Feb 2020, so this will have to be a virtual thread for a while...

I should have said, this will be a factory build. I'm not intending on driving it in the wet, but if it does end up out in the rain I want the full weather gear.
Nice looking car.Edited by Gulf310R on Sunday 14th July 14:56
It's worth still investing in a half hood, keeps 99% of the rain out, stops the steaming up you get with full hood and is infinitely quicker and easier to put up. Also works well on really long drives on a sunny day to give you a break from the heat and stop you burning without losing most of the experience.
Either that or get an aero screen and just deal with the rain if it happens. Cheeky pic of mine, excuse my passenger looking like he's wearing a life jacket.

Good work! That will be a lot of fun.
I can't recommend building it yourself enough. I had almost as much fun putting mine together as I did driving it - learnt a fair bit as well. It was immensely satisfying.
Also, 6 speed gearbox is a must!
They don't offer the 6 speed box anymore. What about the 13" wheels OP?I can't recommend building it yourself enough. I had almost as much fun putting mine together as I did driving it - learnt a fair bit as well. It was immensely satisfying.

No update on the car itself, but it should be going into build next week.
Williams is going to fit a full XPEL PPF kit before delivery and I've been looking for a suitable sealant to use each wash. Does anyone else use Gtechniq C2?

C2 will be fine especially on a low use dry weather car. Easy to use looks good and good durability for a spray you won't be dissapointed. Just make sure you wash it with something like gtechniq gwash or dodo juice btbm. Something that doesn't lay down any wax or sealant during a wash.
Awesome car. Very envious
