This is awesome, wont take much to make it a decent looking car.

Bet those wheels were pricey! Look like Image splits

What did you pay for that if you don't mind me asking?

The gearbox, prop, brakes and suspension have got to be worth a few quid!

Might be a good thing having been off the road since at least '05 if it's been dry stored...

No it doesn't need too much, but of course its easy to go overboard! If anyone does know exactly what wheels they are I'd be curious to know!

£5,600. The conversion kit from Simply Performance isn't cheap, but worth its weight in gold in my eyes.

Sounds entirely reasonable given the stuff on it!

Nice buy.

Thank you! I'm happy with the cost of it. It isn't road ready but I think its still cheap for what I've got

So I've got to correct myself on the brakes....I was jumping in and out of the conversation earlier and misheard. As it turns out my fears were completely correct and the rear wheels are only braked by the hydraulic handbrake and not the foot brake. Its a bit of a pain in the backside and will require a bit of creative thinking if we wish to keep the hydraulic handbrake.

Tyres are easy from the US. Jegs have them $205 us dollars each for the rears. Bf Goodrich.

Good to know, thank you. The ones on it currently are pretty much new, but something tells me they might not last all that long

Vaguely similar to the rims on my 427 Camaro. Think ? These are called " Weldlines " or something, but they being thrown over the hedge as soon as the Minilites arrive.

Yes I'm not sure they totally suit your car, though the car itself is lovely!

A fairly boring update for today. Discovered that there are even more lights than I knew about. These light strips on the doors and across the centre console can be set to just 'on' or flashing. Its a bit chavtastic in the best way.

The reverse lights and number plate lights are coming off currently to see if they can be rescued as they weren't removed when the car was painted for filming.

I've managed to find a suitable fuel tank to use in one of the other project XJ-S (an XJR-S), which I didn't really want to use but this car needs it more for now. It should be going in tomorrow.
