The custom Alpina tape is pretty cool
It even came in a dust bag like a posh handbag.

Final part of my warranty claim has arrived. I had to go pick it up from BMW too...

Shouldn’t have broken my other one should they!
That is cool

Like my cheap purchases from Mr Porter, the packaging is waaay ostentatious, but keeps me feeling special and loyal cloud9

The tapered silver flashes are really nice. I don't like diesels, typically, but if I were racking up your mileage, this is such a cool candidate.

I must confess, I prefer driving a diesel. I know, unpopular opinion. I prefer the torque curve of diesel, and where I live diesel being €1,11 per litre, and petrol being €1,28 per litre (add in the usual 10mpg difference) it soon saves cash. They can claw my diesel from my cold dead hands!

Booked to have the windows un-tinted on Wednesday.

Might even put the mud flaps back on..

(Personally) this is great news. Considering the number of miles you do (presumably) around farms, mud flaps probably aren't a bad idea.

Why are the tints going? Not getting on with them?

It has tints on the front too, and I don't sell enough drugs of play enough football to justify those.

I think it'd look cleaner with all clear glass like it used to have.

I optioned tinted windows on my D3 and its probably my biggest regret (in terms of how I optioned the car obviosuly.....I've done far more regrettable things in my life!)

First drive after I changed the steering bush.

Steering it great and no longer clunky!

Win.

Oh the car is also going to be on the YT channel Jayemm on cars in the near future.

No tints is the look this needed. 100% classier now.

Just a dog guard to pick up tomorrow and it’ll be perfect.

Excellent thread and fantastic car. Enjoy following it as it racks up the miles now!

My father has a 330d and has factory tints and struggles to park it at night now. How easy was it to remove the tints?

I paid a tint place £100 to remove them. They were quite bemused by it.

I’m not sure if the standard dark glass is a film though.

I think standard is within the glass (may be mistaken but I think this is the case). Yours looked to be film as there was the "halo" effect on the edge of each rear window where the dots are printed on the glass.

To my eyes that looks so much better without the tints!

It looks better to me, but I'm keeping my tints for a while yet!

Apparently the difference between the aftermarket and OEM tints are that the filaments for the heater are not visible with OEM tints.

Tints off is a much better look. Looks like your rear wiper isn't quite fully parked too. Might need to give the wiper spindle a lube up. Not a big job, and stops the wiper parking in funny positions, and speeds it right up too.

That’s how the tint place left it, ran it back down to its proper parked position now.
