That is cheap motoring for what it is, does that include purchase price too, and garage labor costs (unless you've done it all DIY?)..,which I know you have done for most of the bits n' bobs from your thread smile

Yes includes any depreciation I've had.

All the servicing was at Sytner Nottingham.

Most of the repairs were done by me.

Nice! Do love seeing a nerdy spreadsheet, all formulated up with calculations, been following your thread a while.

I have a similar spreadsheet for my shedding (different end of the market of course compared to your car) but, it's great to see it so transparently in front of you, good way of knowing when to chuck in the towell.

Tax/VED for me is the biggest annual expense more, than anything else in my case, but still cheap motoring.

Great to see the miles pilling on unabated for you too.

302k Yesterday.

This tank also did 600 miles, a new record for me. Genuine 47.5mpg over the tank of Diesel.
glorious - Keep going!

26p is very cheap.

For reference, I run a 2011 Mondeo 2.0 TDCi, and my cost is 32 cent (euro) per mile. I've run it for 5 years and just shy of 100k miles. However, that's had some paintwork, a couple of extra sets of wheels for winter tyres etc, and I've also fastidiously maintained it - it's had 2 sets of shocks in that 100k.

Good vid but can't believe he bought one with an open diff, wtf?

Started reading the comments then realised there are way too many to get through, 687 right now.

I did notice a comment from someone about their 300k mile touring too.

Hardly any had the diff option.

Ironically I just sold the Drexler differential out of my car to someone with an M140i.

I got my 18 plate Alfa Giulia in January this year through a friend in the trade. My car had covered 113,000 miles from new. I’m now on 134,000 miles, It’s had a full service, Cambelt & water pump, 2 tyres and front discs & pads this year. In another 5,000 miles it’ll be due another service and could do with a gearbox service soon.

I’d say without looking I’ve spent £1400-£1500 on maintenance but compared to have a car on finance and new car depreciation, I’d say my motoring has been good value this year.

Yes for the use it gets, I've not even noticed it not being there, apart from the fact it doesn't skip, when the diff bound up, pulling out of my drive in the morning like it used to.

I thought they had an LSD as standard? I know my 57 plate D3 did, and sytner's told me when I bought it ( back in Jan 2008 iirc) that they all did? Or maybe that was just the first gen?

Beautiful car though, was very said when I had to sell it...

I'm pretty sure the E90 D3 did not have a LSD as standard. Infact Im not sure even if it was an option.

But that was just a 2 litre which became twin Turbo after facelift. What about the B3?

Just checked... LSD wasnt installed on any E90 D3 or D3 BiTurbo
It was optional on E90 B3, but quite rare, just 1 RHD B3S BiTurbo Coupe was specced with it...
Only offered as standard on B3 GT3

For F3x variants it was on offer directly from launch
UK production figures specced with LSD
D3 Sedan 19 of 109 units = 15%
D3 Touring 14 of 69 units = 20%
D4 Coupe 10 of 42 units = 25%
D4 Cabrio 1 of 19 units = 5%

Strong bias toward early pre-LCI examples, make of that what you may
