It was this one at the CCA auction. It went from a 2 day auction at the Practical classics Show (cancelled) to a 1 day auction at their usual Leamington spa venue (later cancelled) to a 16 day, 10 cars a day online bidding only affair!

Stunning car OP, and it seems like a bit of a bargain - I hope it isn't too long before you can enjoy it. thumbup

Even if the 'tache and shirt aren't yours, so long as you have some chest hair you are your way to reliving Magnum PI!

80k Miles, high mileage?

Sounds pretty low to me, it’s 40 years old, that’s only 2k Miles a year, I walk nearly as far as that!

Looks great!

You must be desperate to be able to have a proper look at it! Watched your youtube videos - great to see the elation when you won it. Hopefully the colour change you unearthed is well hidden.....sounds like it will be given the owner at the time. Looking forward to the updates.

Having viewed a Ferrari 458 in January I made a sensible offer but the seller wasn't really happy with it...a few days later he accepted it and so I sent a deposit. He called to say he has to travel to Northern Italy and would like to do the transaction before he left but then ignored my call and went....and sent my deposit back.

I was upset at the time but I guess I had the last laugh! I don't wish him any ills but he really screwed up over GBP5k and I am sat on the cash and not a shiny red thing that cannot be driven anywhere!

Be honest, it was £510, or did you negotiate a 'discount.' wink
