I just don't learn, it's my Legacy
Discussion
I had one of these, same generation, a 2006 "blitzen" spec. I has it mapped to about 300 Bhp, which seemed a safe limit for the auto box, and fitted a thicker whiteline rear ARB that help dial out some understeer.
Although if you do go for a thicker ARB, uprate the rear mounts, as they do have a tendency to crack under strain.
It was a great car, light (for it's size), powerful and huge amount of room in the back. Shame they don't still make them as I'd have another as a daily. Company car allowance rules say I should have a car less than 10 years old...

She doesn't talk to me. I'm disappointed about that.
There is an external speaker on his one, from some old phone kit. He has it on a switch, as it can get mega annoying!I wonder if he got a genuine Japanese toll card would it say something different? He just has an old credit card in there at the moment.

I find this site really useful for checking part numbers etc.

Currently trying to work out the best boot protection, but am rocking the Peppa pig and unicorns look at the moment...
Also found out that with keyless entry I can open the car just using the button on the door rather than the fob. Mind blown.

Where are you based? I have a spare one but it's too bulky to postCurrently trying to work out the best boot protection, but am rocking the Peppa pig and unicorns look at the moment...

Looks fab. I loved mine far more than the Forester I replaced it with.
The UK Legacy forum is very good for help.
I don't know if you're the sort that does his own work (I am) but if so, Partsouq (in the UAE) is a very good source of genuine parts. Usually takes about 5 days to arrive, so long as you're ordering a decent amount of stuff it works out far cheaper than buying in the UK. Has fancy interactive IPLs with the part prices on etc.

Great left field car, but it's got me wondering what happened to that slightly mental poster/troll who was always on about his Legacy R Spec and posting really boring dashcam footage of him lane hogging and frothing at the mouth about how he dominated a BMW 320d driving 900 yards behind when the driver was clearly just drinking his coffee and thinking about the cricket?

Eric something? Still around I think, but has calmed down on the weird stuff i think! Had another quick poke around the engine today. Pleased to report that all fluids look in good condition, having been changed in the not too distant past. Trying to confirm exactly what was done when but sure the information will follow shortly. Gearbox oil was my biggest concern as however it seems in good condition too. Will need to check level once warmed up but all looks positive.
Think I fancy some new wheels for it once the nav/radio is fixed (Monday hopefully).
Bloody love it.

One of the issues I had with mine was air in the power steering, making the pump noisy. The o ring in the top connector on the pump goes brittle after a while (about 10 years) and lets air in. It's a quick job to replace, and changing the fluid is also pretty easy.
