Wanted one for a while and got a deal on trading my FF

What a weapon. Picked up in the wet and its a real handful. Losing traction in Wet mode on part throttle in 5th!!!

Thoughts on tyres, I tried to get dealer to put new ones but they have a lot of tread but are 6 years old. This is a PIA with main dealers as the original tyres have gone hard.

PS4S??? I guess

Any other tips ?

They drive better on Michelin than other brands. Amazed the dealer let a car like that go out on 6 year old tyres, with that amount of power that's pretty dangerous. Maximum I'd have any car on is four years old.

Was it a main dealer, if so I'm amazed it meets Ferraris approved used standard as it's a safety issue and six years is way past the safe usable life.

Congratulations!

I came to an F12 from quite a few other Ferrari's inc 458 and Scud. It is a serious weapon and can be a bit scary! It took me a few drives out before I became confident to start pushing it.

My tip: Don't think about about planting the throttle unless it's dry and you have min 35c in tyres - Unless you're a great driver then please ignore me smile

Also, I would advise to have the exhaust valve lines disconnected to keep the valves open permanently.

Thanks, I have 458 as well good combo

Long running discussion with dealers. I agree tyres age but the standard is a visual inspection and tread depth not age.

I got them to change the battery as the last 2 approved Ferrari's I got needed new batteries within 2 weeks

The dealer has offered pay for new rears and the car is very nice only 6k miles and well looked after.

I race a fair bit so I can get tyres trade and my team can fit so will get some MPS4's.

Thanks,

Nice one. I always found the guys at Nottingham are great.

I remember they got that F12 in shortly after I bought mine.Where they keen to do a deal or pretty firm on price? Just always interested on feedback in the market.

If you don't want to answer I understand.

Yep Nottingham

No real movement on price but where solid on my FF trade in. To be fair F12's have come down to what I believe is a fair level from last year. Will the drop further, probably, but life is too short.

I wanted low mileage, still on service plan and 2 year warranty that's worth a lot in my mind

Not bothered about carbon and race seats, I have these on my 458, so 6k miles, driver zone, tan interior and shields was the spec I wanted.

Thanks for the feed back. You have the perfect Ferrari combo IMO

I agree on the F12 pricing, there is nothing to compare at the price point. I think they offer great value for money at £160/170k for a really good example, and especially when you consider how close some 458's are on price.

Enjoy!

Yep great combo. Nice spider.

Both are such events.

Cars to me peaked between 2006 to 2012. I admire the forced induction F Cars but they dont move me. Sold my 488 and got a 458.

Had disaters with 2 Mclarens.

Porsche GT cars are still very good but I have raced Cup cars and currently have a 996 RSR so they make having a road version seem pointless.

Tempted by the new Boxster GTS though cracking value.

Pretty happy with my garage now.

Dry today so going to spend sometime with the F12 and will report back......

2 Mclarens both had loads of issues. Dealers are awful or rather McLaren won’t support them

Cars was good but didn’t blow me away.

I have a 981 S that I've had from new in 2012. It's my winter car when the 458 gets tucked up. Cracking car. does everything very well. 3 pedals too.

What a car

Dry and got tyres warm, still need to think about throttle inputs.

At the top end its is truly unhinged

Lovely balance and one of the best Gearboxes I have used. Does the GT thing well if needed
