Thanks man.

It went well at Donington last night, bar shifter cable popping out on gearbox (!) and the fuel line popping off and losing all power (!!!!)

Next step is to fix the above so they never happen, fit a Zircotec coated CGR decat and a second hand Akra exhaust/ CGR system.

Hybrid turbo. It’s listed under engine \ performance.

I believe you need to go hybrid after about 300bhp on this generation of RS Meganes.

Won’t go wrong with a CGR, works of art.

Do you need to strengthen any engine components on these for the 340bhp and 330 ib ft? When I considered further tuning my 270 odd bhp r26 300 bhp was the limit really without forging engine components.

Almost forgot to mention, lovely car and a dream spec with some quality parts. Nicely done.

Nah the M3RS engine internals are a lot better than M2RS....some people run up to 400bhp on stock internals. It’s the torque down bottom end that kills them, so usually that gets limited.

I was sold when I saw Charlie’s titanium welding. It’s not easy, and it genuinely looks too good to stick underneath a car!

Just off jct28 off M1, 30 mins down the road, but seen his pics online. I’d love his ti offering, but can’t justify that, so it would be stainless!

Not too far from his old place then.

Should see his Inconel stuff! That’s incredible.

That will be epic!

How close is that engine to the limits? especially on a long hot track day??

From a cooling point of view, I was on Donny on Tuesday (29degC), and it seemed OK. I had reservations about the cooling capacity, as the intercooler covers the entire front radiator. To compensate this, I've ran a secondary radiator in line with the turbo auxiliary water pump. I saw 115 on oil temp, BUT this value is derived from the breather pipe.

Unfortunately water temp is not a digital out, just a crappy dial with a few lines on it. Next time I'll run a cheapo OBD2 reader and log water temp. It didn't go over the limit though which is good I guess!

On purpose the engine isn't tuned to it's full potential. Turbo is capable of 365bhp, but it's safely running only 340.

Do have a soft spot for RS renaults and an even bigger soft spot for clubsport spec cars, nice job!
