Hi friends, is time to decide what exige I should buy, the 430 or the 410, the 410 is cheaper, but I think the 430 Can keep more the value of the price. What do you think?
I am not going to use a lot in the track, I like the b road a lot, and the front lip of the 430 can be a nightmare in the normal road, towns and city?? The front of the 410 is more up??
I think the 410 and the 430 are going to be very similar in the driving, but not sure, someone have try both?
So, what say the people about this??

Thanks for yours coments.

I have a Cup 430 and have driven a 410 both on track and road.

Really for only road use the 410 is better value as the difference to the 430 is only really relevant if used for track use.

Of course you may prefer the more aggressive looks of the 430 and they will likely hold their values better because there are so few of them

I agree. I’ve got a 430CUP and driven a loan 410 a few times. On the road 410 and 430 probably no different as you’re not going to get to speeds in the bends you would notice. The only difference is the theatre of the Cup, the rear view mirror big wing and widened side scoops and red paint to drool at over the chargecooler. Lots of friendly waves and kids and grown men’s jaw dropping when you pass.
Oh and did I mention the Titanium exhaust note.

Residuals will remain stronger I think too as they rather than hens teeth.

Good luck.

Thanks And9s, yes the 430 will be the best option

Worth mentioning that there are 50 410's and 25 430's so not as much difference as you may think.

The 410 is probably more supple for normal road use, although the Nitron 3 way dampers are the same and it would be easy to set the factory settings for the 410 ...subject to spring and arb ? rates ?

The thing I notice about my 410 is the easy speed into corners ...and the rate at which speed can be lost making late braking a lot of fun ... with a very mid-engined feel.

I asked about the 410/430 nitron settings at the Academy earlier in the year and was told that the two setups are more different than just the settings. Something to do with different tubes and springs. I guess you could soften the 430 and stiffen the 410 but you'd never match one to the other.

If you’re not going to track the car (why on earth not?) then an Elise 220 Sport is possibly better than either of the Exiges.
I have one as a loan car right now as there is a slight delay in me getting my 410. Down a twisty, bumpy B road, the Elise is truly remarkable.

I’m having exactly the same debate at the moment. Used 430 cup or a new 410 anniversary.

Reliability seems very strong on the latest generation of Exige ?

A 3-4 year old Cup in the future should be worth more than a 2-3 old 410 but you may pay similar money to purchase if the 410 is highly specced

Depends what your intentions are as for just road use with aesthetics apart the 410 may still be the better buy

Very nice. What kind of things have you been doing ?

I’m tempted to replace the wing mirrors when I get one. Really dislike the ones Lotus fits... such a shame as the rest of the car looks superb!
