My car is a fairly tight fit in my garage, and I’m looking for a ‘bumper’ so I don’t scratch the door when I get out.

What do people use? I was thinking of a pool noodle or a garage kneeling mat.

I use 2" thick foam glued to the garage wall. I also have rubber strips glued down the side of the garage entrance brickwork.

I did this too - old carpet offcut, two screws through it into the wall high up and let it hang - no scratches or bumps even if you really clout it.

Carpet tiles my my lower garage walls.

Also have a carefully positioned one on the personal door into the garage to not damage the bumper.

These are often used in big cities with questionable parking arrangements, would do the same job attached the the wall as the car

Big bit of carpet stuck to the doors and it's use then extends to Tescos ect. Old tyres glued to the doors with no nails also works well..

I had that problem so swapped my car for something with dihedral doors.

I've had something very similar to these on my walls for 20+ years now

or this which looks very much like a garage door seal
