4 seater convertible with decent boot..

Does such a thing exist?
Thinking along the lines of E class, A5, 4 series etc.. needs to have 4 seats but will only have the kids in the back so rear legroom isn’t too important but decent ish boot space would be good.
Has anyone got experience of these and which has the most useable boot?

They all have a decent-ish boot when the roof is up.
4er is very tight when down due to the bulk of the metal. 6 series is decent with the roof down. New e class is basically the same as the 6. I think the A5 is easily as big as these two if not bigger- seems to be a bit of a freak of packaging.
6er rear space is surprisingly poor for the size of the car too.
The issue is always the shape of the space, and getting something in and out with the roof down can be an issue.
Also, having owned 4 seater convertibles, I wouldn't go back to one - always better on paper than reality; would rather get the coupe equivalent.

Once the novelty wore off, which didn't take long, the roof just became an extra 100kg of weight to carry plus the worry of it potentially going wrong and costing a fortune. Boot space is also severely compromised with the roof down (maybe get a few bags of shopping) but no problem with the roof up.
And at age 44 could never quite shake feeling a bit of a t
t driving with the roof down. And I'm totally at peace with my sexuality and get on with my hairdesser etc.

Buy the E500 V8 - it's a fairly practical car. Not overly stupid on running costs and rather good fun to drive.

As an ex-owner of a 16 E convertible a couple of points:
Scuttle shake, espescially over potholes and broken surfaces is very noticeable.
Squeaky seals - argh.
Decentish ride.
Decentish handling.
Well insulated with the roof up.
Eats conti rears due to the weight on them.
Tight back seats - noted this doesn't matter.
Interior is not great, but quite germanic so liveable.
Boot with the roof divider down makes it quite difficult to put things in/take things out.
I believe the speakers on the rear panel shelf are dummies.
Would recommend the 350d or 400 petrol (unicorn in convertible*), no 500 of that vintage.
Eta: Strangely difficult to place in tight gaps - e.g. far more difficult than any big car I have owned. We reckoned this was because the passenger cell is much narrower than the corners. Was constantly being kerbed.
