Thanks for the comment. It is a real credit to its previous owners who have clearly looked after it. I will probably get the front and rear bumpers painted as they have got some dodgy touch ups but that is about it.

That looks very clean! Great colour combo too - enjoy!

In terms of tuning, it depends where in the country you are. Plenty of good tuners for VAG cars of this generation. Awesome GTI in Manchester, Stealth Racing in Southam and VRS in Northampton are all well established. I’ve used Awesome in the past for a Revo generic map - not sure they are still Revo dealers but I’ve read articles about them working with APR now. Stealth live map - they tuned my 1.8T A4 and did a great job. VRS I’ve heard quite a few positive reviews of but worth researching a bit more. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the information, very helpful. At the moment I'm more than happy with the standard 180bhp. Maybe in the future I might want a bit more power so this info will be helpful.

Seeing this makes me regret selling my 52 plate estate just over a yr ago. Over 200k miles on the clock & went back to the Czech Republic to be converted to LHD & live another day!. P.S check the oil pump pick up in the sump.

OP do you still have this and did you sell the plate? Doesn't look like you accept PM's on here. Thanks

Thanks, found it on Briskoda for £580 which is a bit steep for me / compared to others on DVLA. Not saying it's not worth it but I don't plan to keep the car forever so should probably buy another plate for myself or my wife rather than a car-related one.

Lovely looking Fabia VRS, especially in red. Skoda really nailed it with the MK1 Octavia and Fabia VRS, both great cars. Was it the yellow one that came up for sale in Cinderford a couple of months ago?
Always wondered why they didn't do a petrol version of the Mk1 Fabia vRS .....!
No idea if it was the same one you noted advertised in Cinderford.. Was about 10 years ago when I looked at my colleagues one..
They didn't do a petrol Mk1 FabiaVRS because of VAG market positioning and strategy?

No worries at all. I had the plate valued at £650 by two different companies but by the time they had added their commission they were selling it for just under £1000 which I thought was a joke. If the plate doesnt sell i will probably put it on retention for now.
