I would try removing the xard and cleaning the contacts with a cotton bud with a little contact cleaner. Can you back up the data to another card or is it encrypted?
Maybe, it did some kind of automatic update yesterday. Covered over 200 miles today going down to the Staffs Regiment Museum near Lichfield, really interesting Museum. Clicked over 11000 miles since purchase on the way down.
