Time to strip the pedal box .
Note the bellows type servo .
The clutch master cylinder put up a bit of a fight !

Stripped to its component parts and given a blasting before being modified for race use and a adjustable brake bias set up .
Always fun working on parts that are almost 60 years old and probably never been touched .

Refurbished pedals with a few mods ready for a brake bias system . New brackets will be needed for new master cylinders.

It's standard E type,

there is a picture frame and a witches hat / triangle part that the bonnet hinges on missing in that picture.

They deform very well in an accident, frontal or side.

The owner requested an extra door bar on the drivers side (LHD) It is removable . I have raced LHD in the UK and you can feel a bit more vulnerable, most UK tracks are run clockwise so the left is more liable to contact the scenery.

The pedal box has been renovated and modified and is ready to be refitted.
This won't happen until the shell has been painted .

Overall, 4 years, although 2 of them were waiting for the aluminium shell, plus a few months whilst Pilkington sorted out making the front screen properly. During that time I stripped the 62 EType and overhauled all the necessary bits. Once shell received in paint it took about 15 months to screw it together.

Lots of fun on research of the original and coming up with solutions to some of the unique features of the Lindner Nocker Low Drag.

Steering column stripped and blasted ,a bracket needs repairing then it's off for powder coating. Then rebuild with new bushes . Another part for when the tub has been painted .

Years of having ball joints replaced by clumsy mechanics results in this sort of damage .
