I don’t think there is much love here for a Metro, so I better get on with the next car I had, soon
You'd be surprised. Looked at Metros about 10 years ago and they were ridiculously cheap for mint low mileage, one elderly lady owner types. Then their value has taken off. Wish I'd bought one then but I'd just got back into minis, there was a hole in my life without one and managed to pick up my long term favourite, a Mk1 from 1963 which I still cherish. Had loads of them over the years, including
a red City E much the same as your Special which naturally was Cooperised.
Love your 190, they always seemed a special, quality car when they were new and I too was fascinated by the wiper mechanism. A diesel version would be a nice old plodder to own.

Yes a diesel 190 is nice as well! Although with low emission zones they are not welcome everywhere unfortunately.
Just sold my low miles mint 190E - bloody bargain for the next owner compared to the money some old garbage makes - these really were exceptionally advanced cars back in the day and one day the market will wake up to this i hope. Trust the new owner gets plenty of use out of it, fine motorcar.
