That's what I used on my 130i LE because it had the pop up screen. It did work well although I found it more of a pain to install than the Andream unit which is a bit more plug and play.E90_M3Ross said:

£3k for rod bearings, mounts and a DCT service. You need to shop around my friend as that is extortionate and you can knock near enough a grand off that
Redish motorsport online quote £1650 for rod bearings, engine mounts cost £150 plus some extra labour, their full DCT service and replacement of common failure points is £1k so doesn't seem too far out. It isn't just having a DCT filter and oil change. Other very well regarded specialists charge circa £1500 for a bearing change including mounts. RD Automotive being one of them.
Fully aware that the full DCT service is more involved btw. Just trying to provide some advice as a fellow owner

Everyone knows that Melbourne Red is the fastest and best colour!
It suits the shape loads as well I reckon, and I'd imagine it is a rare colour too. bolidemichael said:

Did they offer both Japan and Melbourne red?
Try RBM Hampshire for rod bearings, there was (is?) a group buy on m3 cutters. Courtesy car too.

I think you may be correct. The example above was definitely shot after many hours of extreme polishing from the karate kid.
Not quite, just a good full detail and ceramic coating. It's been a year or so since it was done and still looks like that now. Just requires a good hand wash and drying.Regarding roof and color. The E90 saloon didn't come with the carbon roof. Only the E92 coupe. Not really a deal breaker in my eyes. The only red offered in the saloon was Melbourne of which there were only 24 RHD made

Thanks, they're a fair trek from me but if they can offer a, car and be a bit cheaper then it's worth it. I'll see if my local indy will get close to their quote. Will let you know! https://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/threads/rod-bearing...

So Admiral accepted the quote I got from the bodyshop. Where it's a bodyshop I want to use I need to pay both voluntary and compulsory excess charges (£600) and then claim that back. Where the damage is minor I didn't want to book the car in, pay £600 and find I'm waiting for months and months before I can claim it back so decided to wait until the 3rd party had admitted liability.
Just this morning I had a text message from them saying that they have admitted liability and would be in touch with my insurance company. So I should be able to get it booked in soon and (hopefully) not have to wait too long before being able to claim the £600 back. I think I'll phone Admiral just to confirm the situation though.
Car is otherwise running well
That's goo to hear! Hopefully you'll have it back ship-shape in no time at allJust this morning I had a text message from them saying that they have admitted liability and would be in touch with my insurance company. Just this second had email back from the other indy asking me a few more questions, they can offer a courtesy car. If they're cheaper than my indy by over £150 or so it'll be going there almost certainly. Will see what he quotes and then see if my indy will get closer. Looking online my indy does seem pricey. Usually rod bearings seem £1500-1650, whereas they've quoted just over £1850.

£1,500 seems to be what most charge - pretty sure Evolve are around that figure too. A couple of hundred quid will pay for two tanks for fuel! Court_S said:

Yeah, I'm waiting to hear back from them RE price and then I can get back to my indy, if they can't get close then I'll go to RBM Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
