Bought a few years back to tinker with. Tinkered, found I didn't have the skills to do it to a standard desired so have handed it over to the professionals.

It's a B8444S, built by Yamaha as supplied to Noble for the M600 (before they turbo'd etc). So good for 300bhp.

Noble stopped using them and had a few left on the shelves in crates, brand new from Japan. Seemed foolish not to, then it just seemed foolish. Which it is, but hey ho.

YES !!!!!!

Are they used longitudinally in the Noble, or are the mounted the same way as in the S80/XC90?
What gearbox are you using? And what axles?

My father still has his 123 GT he bought in the early 70‘s as his first car. He still drives it on a regular basis. these are great, great cars!

Assume it's longitudinal in the M600. There's probably not much left of the engine once they've put a couple of turbos on and beefed up the internals.

Looking at Ford Explorer rear axle. Work should start on that element shortly as they're starting with the back of the car.

Gearbox may be BMW/Getrag but they might have to dry fit a couple of options to see what fits best.

That was an amusing discovery. I thought the car was quite solid until it was stripped.

I like the car. The overpriced thread had someone a day or two back who'd put what looks a lot like that engine into an XC90.

Yep, XC90 is its normal home along with a few S80s.

Actually got the engine on ebay... seemed a bit cheap which made me suspicious but it all turned out to be legit. Was half the price of scrapped units. Unfortunately that small economy will be lost in the scheme of things!
