Hi,
Well the planned finished date was May this year to coincide with the Lancia Motor Club Goodwood track day. This was just a date to aim for but I think it will be the far end of summer before the car is ready for a shake down on a track day. To be fair I have written off this year so this gives us more time to gets things looking even better.
Thanks for the kind words and sorry for the boring pics, will try harder when there's more to show.
Cheers,
David.

Mine too.I love the attention to detail

I keep scanning the classifieds on here looking for an excellent standard one, but I think that unless I wish to become a Eunoch (sp?) I'd better not purchase without telling SWMBO .... I've a habit of chopping in cars for something else without her knowledge.

Best of luck with the rest of the project
Hello Charlie,
We are confident that the car will be very driveable with the GT35. The turbo has been designed and built with fast spool up in mind and the cylinder head has been re worked extensively to maximise flow. If it's too laggy we will just down size and look at something else, but I'm sure it will work well.
Twin injector setup is being used to maximise flexibility in fuelling. The extra four injectors will only kick in when the engine is producing over 400bhp.
I wish I could give you a more technical explanation but the engine is Nick's domain and he has all the answers. I just drive it.

Hello,
Thought I would post a quick update of the Lancia build. The engine is all together now and the Ferrari throttle bodies are fitted. Alot of work has gone into making the throttle bodies fit to the engine at the correct angle.

This pic shows the direct route to the valves.

The new plenum has been fabricated which houses the 4 extra injectors which will be used when full power is required. A nice Tial blow off valve has also been added.

We just need to modify the exsisting manifold to accept a Tial external wastegate and get the turbo elbows made up.
Once we get the manifold back it's time to get on the engine dyno and see what kind of power gains we have.
A big big thankyou goes to Derek and Nick. Their passion and expertise when it comes to building and tuning integrale's is endless.
Many Thanks.
David.

Thanks Gents for the kind words.
The engine should have been dyno'd and fitted in the car at this point but two different exhaust fabrication companies who was going to modify the exhaust manifold have let us down at the last minute.
The fisrt company cancelled on us two days before the work should of started, this was after waiting six weeks to fit us in. The second company said yes they could do the work but when we arrived at their factory with all the parts they turned round and said they couldn't supply or weld 321 tubing because they only work with 304!!
Well third time lucky seems to be the order of the day because Goodfabs have agreed to tackle the job, so it's booked in for the 17th September. They sounded very helpfull and positive on the phone which is always a good sign.
Next update should have some dyno results.Very exciting.

Hello,
Well the exhaust manifold has been modified to accept the new turbo with an external wastegate. Goodfabs did a great job and we are very pleased with the outcome.
We also purchased another Lotus chargecooler so we have had the two units welded together to give us double the airflow.
Nearly time for the engine dyno.
