Just need to choose a livery now. Was going to go the Martini route but have been looking at the Lancia Integrale Valvoline car.....what do you think?

Stunning build and a wonderful thread smile

IMHO the Martini livery wins hands down, it's so iconic and suits the car perfectly my vote goes to that one. The Valvoline design is not half as striking.

Car looks great.

Re the livery in order of pref.:

  • Martini
  • Repsol
  • And a bit left-field but what about an Alitalia design based on the old Statos scheme.

Absolutely love this smile One of the best builds on PH.

A little left field, possibly controversial idea for the livery.... Integrale usually says "Martini", but what about keeping it in the family and going Stratos.... Alitalia? I think it would be different from the norm, but tied in nicely to Lancia's heritage.

Edit: Damn my slow wifi! Rhinochopig, I'm with you!

Magnificent car and superb thread - I won't even try to pretend I know what all the technical speak is about but I appreciate that this car is something special, if only for the coolest alloy wheel ever featured on a car biggrin

Just out of interest, what are the bolt things on the corners of the front and rear bumpers?

As for paint job - Martin is the classic but the repsol jobbie is nice.... can't wait to see where you go smile

EDIT: although this may only be a scale model, this is a boss paint job

Great work OP and nice to see this car come to fruition. Looking back I see you started this thread in 2009, it just goes to show that 'proper' builds can take a long time.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers

Whilst the Martini colours are the most common, they're also the most striking. How about a version of the san remo car but using black/silver/grey - will tie in with the white bodywork nicely too. I'm sure someone better than me can photoshop it for a looksee ?
Nice work by the way, let me know when you're ready to sell :-)

Hello Hayden,

I like your idea, would look great but I have settled on the Martini Sportline livery. Will get it done in the winter months. Running in the new engine is taking longer then I first thought. Bad weather and short on time.

Weighed the car last weekend and it came in at 1240kg which isn't bad considering how much extra metal has been added to the shell.

My son has his eyes on the Delta so I don't think it would ever come up for sale whilst I'm still living :-)

David.

Oh well, let me know if he changes his mind :-)

Forgive me if i've missed it in the thread but are you using plastic/carbon panels and 'glass' ?
