We need a vid of this beastie in hard core action. Any chance please young sir?
What, being drove out of the garage onto a trailer? hehe
redcard

The only trailer that car has seen is when it was being built, hence being imobile. Since its been road legal its been driven everywhere. Just because cars are this well presented does not mean they are trailor queens.

In saying that I doubt you'll see any vids of it in this weather though (but then thats the same for a lot of the cars on this site) wink

Tailer loser
Would have loved a Trailer it would have saved the mileage, Stone chips and hours of cleaning to make the car the condition it is following the couple of thousand miles that the car has done since being finished whistle

haha lucky the boys got in before me, i presume your on a wind up allgearnoidea?

just for the record both dougiemc & notnormal do both DRIVE their concourse show cars, i've been shotgun for 99% of the summer in the mini, and i've been passenger in notnormal's Lotus Carlton to Le Mans and back, and we weren't hanging about.

Can I ask, if I wanted a Mini to be made rust proof, asin back to bare shell and sandblasted, assuming it's in average condition for a car 20+ years old, what kind of very rough ballpark figures are we talking?

Love the car, top job. smile

Depends where you take it and how bad it turns out to be after blasting
Going to be around 4k minimum if want it painted as well but could nearly double for a top job I would think at some places.

1st time I've seen this, looks stunning! Top job by all involved!

Dougie, you wouldn't happen to know my mate Rich by any chance, his mini is an orange 1398 running NOS and all sorts of magical things, I'll dig out a pic and post it at some point as I can't remember the details of it frown

Loved seeing this in the magazine article, then in the flesh. insane and off the wall as only a mini project can be, but with enough power and handling to get everyones jaw dropping.
