After being away from fast cars for over a year now, and no motorbikes for 6 months, this car is going to scare the st out of me. Driving your Stagea on the weekend, and that being bad enough @ 460 @ wheels and if mines left at 500whp and 400kg lighter, enough torque steer to tear of a grizzly bears arms, i am truely going to st myself hard.

Great project and build, lord knows how those front tyres, and your arms will cope with it all but it'll be awesome trying!!

Are you using water injection at all? Just wondering how you would prevent det with all the avaliable boost really

Yea.. how are you planning on plumbing that in?

I can't help thinking / being of the opinion this conversion has not been thought out completely... internal+external waste gates... almost impossible plumbing (without a great big hole in the bonnet)...

Don't get me wrong, it has my interest and I mean no offense... is this a complete home brew affair? (in which case - fair doos - well done for having a stab).

Internal and External Wastegates for this Turbo are needed as per my tuner. Both 38mm.

The Intake side of the Turbo is being taken of this weekend and will be facing down. So thats that sorted.

I looked at the cooling side of things last weekend, only had 3 hrs on the car all weekend. Plumbing looks fine also. I had to make a couple of modifications to get the intercooler in.

Exhaust tip now the cars on the ground, looks nice, not to big or in your face.

Im dedicating my whole weekend to finishing the intercooler & pipe work, rad and oil cooler. I only have weekends as i work away. If i can get that done this weekend, fuel pumps, gauges, leads, turbo lines, etc over the next weekend or get my mate to do it, then shes going of to Thor who are mapping the AEM EMS.

Parts bought for this build were chosen because of there performance capabilities more so how they will fit. I make it fit biggrin

Looking forward to cracking on over the weekend.

Nice build, isn't that radiator a bit on the small side to be coping with the amount of heat your engine will generate?

My tuner said it will do fine, he has used the same ones on other Honda Turbo's with tublar manifolds that give of some serious heat. I might heat wrap my downpipe, but my manifold is cast so heat is minimal. It maybe half size but it is quite thicker than a stock one.

Cheers for the comments guys.

Worked on this car most of the weekend, in the blistering heat at home. Got a fair bit done inbetween the F1 and World Cup. My body is broken, my hands are cut to st, my hayfever is of the chain, ive sworen enough to last me a life time, but after all that, im happy with what i have achieved.

Intercooler pipework made up.
Intercooler positioned and brackets made, fitted
Samco (was ordered correctly after i drew it out thank god)
Front Member modified to fit intercooler
Turbo Turned to suit
Bonnet Almost closes (Needs some of the support beam removing and then will close)
New Clutch Master Cylinder Fitted
Radiator Mounted
FAN mounted on the Rad
Oil Cooler mounted
Removed Fuel Rail and tested Injectors fit (they do)

Next week, i will just tidy up the pipe work, get the ends flared up, and connect it all up, fit the T-Bolts. Mount the Oil Filter Kit some where and just pipe it into the Oil Cooler. Fit Injectors and Wire in plugs. New Magnecor Leads. Fit ECU, Intank Fuel pump.

Thats pretty much it. Then im probably going to send it of to Thor who can fit the external fuel pump, gauges, Turbo Lines, and map it. biggrin

Wooohooo, getting there.
