Great car.

The good news is you've now fixed the two most problems - happens to them all.
Good luck and enjoy.
Thanks for the compliment. So those are common problems for this model?

Sorry just edited that - multi tasking at the mo!

Yes, common to them all.

Great spec, LSD, E/rear seats & blind. Not too many came like than from memory.

Great, ta. Just need to get my electric windows working again now. They packed in after giving the car a wash!
Any ideas where to start?

Can't help, but odds on it's something simple i.e fuse, switch, reply etc.

There's another really nice E23 735i for sale here
Also lovely. Prefer your colour scheme, but that one is still fantastic.

I also managed to get hold of the 1983 BMW 7 Series Colours and Upholstery booklet.
This stuff facinates me, especially the 'Recommended paintwork/upholstery combinations' section.

Seems you could create some right horrors, long before 'BMW Individual' existed!

You're hooked now let me tell you. biggrin I did the same, got all the road tests, brochures, data etc, anything that justified spending loads of money on a twenty year old + production car.

Yep! Just ordered the sales brochure from eBay. Now just need to find the correct handbook.

With all the options this car has, list price jumps to a dizzying £24173 - or £62,849 on your site.

Just had a little trip to Munich for a Kraftwerk gig.

Spent the day after nosing round BMW Welt (World), the museum and a factory tour.

They had an E23, but on the top of a stack of four cars!

A few snaps.. The factory tour was amazing.. but no cameras were allowed!

BMW Welt (World) is in the foreground. It's basically a huge showroom.
The museum is the round building with BMW logo on roof.
The tower is the head offices, and the factory is the main complex in centre of photo

Is BMW Welt opposite the Olympic Park? If so, I missed an opportunity when I was in Munich earlier this year. *sobs*

Yep. The first two photos were taken from the Olympic tower, they're right next to each other..

Good excuse to go visit again!
