What was the issue with the windows in the end?
Not sure actually. I forgot to ask when I picked the car up yesterday. Will find out for you next time I speak to him.

The scratches have been sorted now, had a good service and cleaned the cooling system, the windows work again.
The green beast passed it's MOT!

Absolutely awesome. I really would love an early 735i, they are on my list of cars to own!

I too have a large collection of old road tests, brochures and data for old BMWs, especially the E28 M535i - which was the one car I really regret selling.

Fantastic E23 - would love to see it in the flesh. Are you anywhere near Chester?

I absolutely love that! An old thread but still a lovely car, I hope it's going strong.

I am glad you still have this. It's a lovely car.

Edited to add:

I haven't seen a 7 Series with 16" Fondmetal alloys before - they seem usually to be on Jags. They really suit your BM. I wonder when they were fitted - mid 'Eighties, I'd guess.
