I was just looking for this photo. There is one on Rennlist, I think, on 15" teledials with chunky tyres. Looks great!

I reckon a 986 on 15" teledials would be a fab daily car.

I'll second that. I guess they won't go over the calipers of a 987 Cayman?

What’s the consensus on the car below? Low mileage not always a good thing but it looks very clean with barely any advisories on previous MOTs. I questioned the panel gap at the bonnet and they sai£ bonnet wasn’t closed properly.

I reckon it's closed properly (the bonnet, foglight, inner front wings all appear to line up nicely).

The front PU simply needs to be moved about 5mm rearwards.

That should solve the curious extra line between the PU and the lower front corners of the front wings, ahead of the side markers.

Low miles maybe but it looks like it has been out in the elements. Those front grilles are perished/faded grey. Worth investing in a pair if you decide to buy it and then take the front PU off.

‘Modern classic, going up in value’, on a Boxster worth half of my 3 year old Smart car... what else is the seller deluded about!?

The bonnet gap sometimes looks worse than it is when looking down, possibly top edge of bumper not correctly located, 30 mins r&r to fix.

Much more of a car right?

Is it a 3.8 and manual?

Standard exhaust?

Yep 3.8S, triple black & manual. HIDs & PASM,on 112k miles. Was the one on eBay near Uckbridge, we agreed on £17,5k

It is 2004MY, but it has a large IMS bearing engine.. I can find only one line item amongst other stuff in the history alluding to this curiosity, it's from an OPC Nottingham invoice from around 2007, 'ticking noise found, engine was rebuilt'.. I can only assume it as a warranty replacement of some kind?

It's had a gundo hack on a new fitted OE exhaust, which I will be blanking off because it' too obnoxious for my daily.. If anyone has OE mufflers they want to swap for these gundo ones I'd be happy to arrange something.

I've got a Hartech LTT thermostat going on sharpish. Does anyone know if the 997 has low speed fan ballast resistors like the 986/996? I would like to delete them for full speed fan on low speed switch setting for less melty.

It doesn't even have that many oil leaks! biglaugh

Sounds like yours had a new short block and then the gubbins transferred over.

I had a standard exhaust on mine and it was plenty
of noise for me. Positively angry on choke when cold. Most people with the sports exhaust only activate once on the move and warmed up otherwise your neighbours will start losing your mail and stop saying hello to you.
