I walked past this after I got lucky a few Fridays ago!

Those houses have about 7 storeys and no bloody lift!

lol..
I lived in West London for a while when doing my Masters degree and didn't think I'd miss the Big Smoke. That was the first time I visited in three years and had a blast. I did suffer from the post-London blues.

Yes, I had a cheeky look at properties on Lancaster Gate on the train journey back up North. One of those seven storey buildings in on the market - 10 bedroom end terrace. £27M for a project. And I thought the poverty pork was ruinous hehe

You'll be all pleased to know that the pleasant up-turn in weather on Wednesday can be wholly attributed to the MOT on my Boxster running out on Tuesday.

And of course, my man can't squeeze it in till a week on Saturday because he's stacked out busy...

...MOT'ing all the other convertibles! irked

Taking the opportunity to get it up on stands, will give it an oil service and once over and I've bought some kit to re-paint the calipers black rather than the silver I did last time. With the Brembo HP pads being quite dusty, the silver looks grubby after just a few miles.

Lol! This one was divided up into about 14 flats, based on two doors per stair lobby that I saw

Unbelievably, Halfords gives £29.99 MOTs all day long. Don't worry you can sit and watch them though the glass waiting area walls, they don't take anything for a spin, and don't seem to give out advisories, possibly due to lack of intelligence.

ATS will do them for £7.50 - go via groupon and use the code mot25

Check your local branch is doing it, mine wasn't, but there is one not too far away.

Be prepared for "your tyres are 85% worn" and "brake pads are down to just 10mm" etc etc

What do they call that colour, is it arena red or something?

Not sure TBH. The seller doesn't know, but when I googled yesterday the closest I could find was Carmon Red.

Excellent LordGrover. Get a thread started in readers ride and the relevant section on Boxa.

The colour code will be on the sticker underneath the frunk and manual. Curious to know myself - looks darker than Arena.

And do leave the black Boxster badge on - don't change it to silver as suggested by someone else. Looks really classy in that colour with the small wheels and subtle badge.

The main reason for leaving it on is because removing it reveals the original colour which will be 6 shades darker than the rest of the bootlid... irked Mine was black too, really need to stick it back on.

ETA - car looks great though LordGrover - Am I right in thinking you are also ex-MX-5 (i think I recognise the name!)

Sorry, not me - no mazdas in my car history.
Test drove MX-5 RF when it was released though - was sorely tempted. Great drive. Would've been perfect for me at the time, but I'd just bought a Z4.

I've used my local Halfords for MOTs for years. They've been fine. Always a deal for booking online and they've never unfairly failed one of my cars. I'm currently there five times a year for MOTs - we're on first name terms !!

I have always taken my 996 for a £27 kwik fit MOT.

I always tell them I do all my own spannering and would like to see any fail with my own eyes on the ramp so I know what to fix.

Never had an advisory aside from tyres.
