I'm the proud owner of a new 'poverty porka'

1999 Boxster 2.5 in Pastel Yellow, 48,000 miles, Black Leather and a Hard Top.
All for the princely sum of £1,000! Flew through the MOT first time too :0)

Needs a bit of TLC but should make a nice car for the summer smile

Sorry, my mistake, for a minute I thought you said "£1,000" confusedspinbounce

That's a bargain, the hardtop alone is worth £500. Where did you find it?

It's a rare colour but I think it's rare for a reason. In my opinion pastel yellow is the worst colour the Boxster came in. It just looks washed out and faded. What's odd is I think the speed yellow is the best available colour for a Boxster.

Not really a fan of the yellow but at that price and miles you can't really not buy it. Outrageous value.

How on earth did you find that ? Was it advertised, or someone you knew, or friend of a friend, ... ???

A lot of T&Cs....

Potentially a good buy if you have time to look through the details.

Boxster looks enormous alongside that 996 (accepting that it's closer laugh)
996 is smaller than most cars nowadays.

An object lesson in how to put off potential buyers.

What tlc does it need?

Are those winter tyres on small non OEM alloys with the clamshell ones in the garage for summer use?

No

They're genuine 996 17 inch alloys running summer PS3 N rated tyres. I have just got another set of the same wheels wearing PS2 N rated tyres. Yet to try them.

My car came with 18 inch 997 wheels which I sold.

The 18 inch tyres are generally cheaper than 17 inch so this is a false economy.

£200+ is well into 981 20 inch territory. Maybe its an odd ball size. Clearly N rating adds to this. I'll be honest I dont generally shop for N rated so I'm comparing none N rated prices.

The cars been sat around for a while, so requires a bit of 're-commissioning' to bring back up to scratch.

For a start:-

Big Service
Fresh Tyres
Convertible Roof Rear Window

Yep probably going to sell my 3.2S Box if anyone is interested, I'm applying for a flat and need the capital.. frown
Just turned 91K miles, black/black, 18" turbo twists, daily driver- I've added 5k miles this summer since purchase in June,
£5k or £5,5k with the hard top. I'm in London, viewing welcome.

Borrow 10 more, and get a low-mile neat/clean gen2 boxey. Longer term, much better deal and trouble free motoring.
