I'd be tempted by a facelift at the front of my 996 if it meant the headlights can light up the road ahead for me to see where I'm going rather than just alerting other road users that a car is heading towards them, maybe.
I've got litronics, I've never thought they were bad. Even compared to the stupidly good ones on my E Class ‘20 yr old’ litronic bulbs will be nearing end of life, if they have been used extensively. I ran mine on all they time when Switzerland introduced a DRL law, and I eventually noticed the performance had dropped off. New OE spec bulbs almost doubled the light output YMMV but probably fair to say that contemporary car headlights offer another level of performance.

Wow. In many ways that's very impressive; it's a comprehensive job of making the thing pink, right down to the stitching. I wonder how much that cost the first owner?
It'll be a re-sale nightmare though. Wasn't there a car dealer on PH a good few years back who took in a custom pink 986 Boxster as a part-ex, and then had difficulty selling it on?
I've got a photo on another computer of the pink Boxster parked next to my burgundy one at Black Tie and Pie many years ago. It'll be a re-sale nightmare though. It was indeed brought there by Mark from Specialist Cars of Malton.
I'll dig the photo out when I'm next near my other computer.

Wasn’t the 986 a 2.5 as well? I’m sure it was £25k or £30k at the time! It was indeed brought there by Mark from Specialist Cars of Malton.

I don't rate the Litronics in mine, my headlights need a polish though so it might not be fair to judge.
Funny. The Xenons in my 987 are very good indeed. (OK, my standards may be low having never owned anything other than 1980's Halogens before but I'm impressed by them.) I often have my headlights on and have to check the switch to make sure I've not just got the sidelights on. I've got a 2006 Audi Allroad with xenons and they are far better. Used to own a 2001 Audi TT and they were also better. They need a polish so that'll improve them I'm sure but I can't say I'm impressed.

There's 6% on top to pay by the winning bidder. For providing a platform / website and some photos?!
From the section 'How it works:'
"When a car sells successfully on the platform, a 6% premium is automatically deducted from the highest bidder’s credit card. This is a fee for using the platform and not a downpayment on the car. You are then digitally ‘introduced’ to the seller to complete the transaction.
There are NO refunds on the buyer’s premium."
Then you have to arrange collection yourself too.

Compare that to other auction fees.
No buyers fees whatsoever on an ebay auction. Seller pays about £40 max.Classic car auctions take a fee from the seller AND the buyer. At ACA it's 6% to buyer, £75 fee plus 6% to seller, SWVA 8% on the buyer, big boys like CCA, Historics, H+H etc charge 10 - 12.5% plus VAT to buyer!
All of them have entry fees and hefty charges to sellers; the only advantage I see to that collecting cars site is the seller has no fees to pay.
