I must be blind as I didn’t think it looked that bad, I will call the seller tomorrow.
Passenger door looks a little darker than the surrounding wings, apart from that you'd need to see it in person, they are just photos on a computer / phone in not great light with loads of reflections / shadows. Terrible cars can look OK in the pics and vice versa. There is a reason why professional photography is a technical discipline.tomtom said:

This looks nice and is an early low miler. The 97/98 models have a strong following:

Is the water temp supposed to sit that high on the 996?http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2020...
Both set points instinctively feel about 5 deg too high to me but A/C forces the fans on at low speed so i always switch it on in heavy traffic (if not already running)
Oooo I like the blue one!
My fan resistors were dead, chopped them off and bypassed so it did full fan speed at the low setpoint
Anyway found this cat N poverty pork, wonder what it'll go for? Just needs a bumper, maybe rads, front bar and probably those fan resistors. Comes in pizza hut colours too!

A few years back, I'd always wanted a CLS, then one came up at a local Mercedes dealer,it had the grey interior but I thought I'd get used to it.
I didn't, I hated it, every time I got in, that's all I could see , never again!

Blue 996 looks nice, regardless of miles, 996 front seats always look b#gger#d.
The car listed has had quite a few recurring advisories on its MOT history in the past by the looks of it which implies possible light/limited maintenance with possible very little use for a few years? I think the car has also been listed for some while which might imply that whilst it’s low miles, it’s not condition isn’t as favourable as it’s low miles. This auction result isn't poverty but it does put some perspective on how cheap 986 examples with say only double the miles and owners are going for (cars that may actually be better to drive if maintained)

Would argue that a car with say 100k on the clock, but with fresh arms, dampers and springs, and recent flywheel / clutch would drive better. Also a fraction of the cost. The arms on that zenith blue car won't have done many miles, but bushes and balljoints degrade over time. Anecdotal evidence also suggest that cars that are actually driven (even better if used as intended) 'behave' better than garage queens.

Better to snap up a 60k mile minter bargain and put a few ££ into a refresh and do 4k miles a year

Which one - is it the - Zenith 996?
That’s the one. I was going to take a punt but if I did get an inspection, who would be recommended for the east of England?
Thanks

I thought most inspectors visit the car at the seller's home. But not sure what options you have mid lockdown.
Fair point but I meant more in general and once lockdown has been lifted. ATM said:
If you've bought the car you just need a decent specialist for servicing.
Ah I feel my point was missed, apologies if I wasn’t clear. I will find a local specialist but I was just thinking of getting someone to inspect the car before I take delivery of the car and wanted a suggestion of a Who does dependable inspections.
