Funnily though, I think the Cayenne is one of the best looking of the larger SUVs.

Agreed, but it's a shame it seems to take Porsche two attempts to get it right
- Cayenne > New Cayenne
- 996 > 997
- Panamera > We're waiting for 2015
- Macan - Let's see

+1 - I detested the original Cayenne, love the current one (which manages the trick of both being larger than the original Cayenne AND looking a lot smaller) and, as the Macan seems to be derivative of the styling of the Cayenne, I'm just about to place my order.

Looks tall may actually need air suspension;)

Facelift Cayenne was my favourite, new ones rear reminds me of Jap cars, though still like it.

Looks very nice.
I am in a total dilemma. I am trying to buy a 997 GTS and plan to keep my X5 for the family run about but 2 cars (plus the wife's) seems a bit much. This may be the sensible yet still fun one car option.

I'd rather have that than an Evoque.

It's the V6 engine used in the Panamera. The diesel version gets a Porsche tuned variant of the bi-turbo Audi engine from the Q5

AFAIK the Macan S uses the 3.0 V6 Porsche engine from the Panamera S, not the engine from the hybrid version.

Hmmm,, not blown away by the looks, like the front & rear, but not the 3/4 view as I dislike cars which from the silhouette you can't make out which way the car should face. I.e. rear screen slopes more than the front.

I'm more interested in the 4 pot turbo stuff when that comes in...... In which case as a daily runner will be great for those like me like SUV's!

Think a 911 rear screen slopes more than the front ;-)

So does this mean the pics from the "fake" Porsche presentation were the real thing because that looks exactly the same to me!!
