Seat inlays in carrera red
anthracite brown looks great in Porsche pics.

what is seat inlays in carrera red? which panels? not seen this option
Basically its "exclusive".... the middle bit of the seats is going to be carrera red, whilst the head rest and side supports are going to agate grey with the rest of the interior. It is like £200 or so more expensive but it is going to make a big difference to the look of the cabin (I hope). I think Porsche offer too few interior colour combinations....

Ever since the lovely 986 550 Aniversary put this combo on the map, I think it has become a classic. Looking forward to piccies, are you colour coding the wheels?

Nearly went for it myself, but bottled at the last minute and went for agate with agate/pebble full leather.
When I see pictures of GT Silver + espresso, I also get nervous. But each time I see it for real, I know I made the right choice for me. Saw a 911 in the same combination at a dealer yesterday, and it just looked so right!

OK let's get serious here - how do you turn off the stupid, stupid, stupid DRLs without use of a hammer?

Not sure you can

It's an EU thingy on new cars released after may 11 IIRC

Just one question what should you clean the soft top with for like
bird droppings??? and general dust etc.? does anyone know of a supplier for a cover
when not in use just for the soft top?? any protection coating recommended and suppliers?
any help would be appreciated, thanks

On my 987S I let bird st dry, then brushed it off and then would use water for anything left. Should work OK. You can get a hood cleaner from Autoglym too, which is a once/twice a year job.

Borrowing a 981S for the weekend from Cambridge OPC. Really looking forward to it...

On all my soft top cars, I've had loads, I would wash bird poo off with water as soon as reasonably possible, then I simply use the same bucket of shampoo hot water to wash the hood at the same time as I wash the car. Once a year I give it a coat of Fabsil (tent/canvas proofer) with a brush. Nothing compliucated, works perfectly.

The new car's are great but is anybody else slightly miffed that you simply can't open a window in the rain without water pouring off the roof and drenching the inside of the car? Maybe you southerners haven't experienced this yet? hehe

Getting the parking brake problem looked at tomorrow, will try to remember to report back the findings.

The less you clean a convertible roof the better. I occasionally use a very soft bush and clean tap water but otherwise leave well alone.

So the exact opposite of what I do yet both practices apparently work equally well biggrin

You are using soap/detergent and, as a result, have to re-proof your roof.

I haven't washed my roof properly in over a year.
It's only ever had a quick wipe with a mildly damp cloth where needed. (fortunately no bird has ever shat on it, and if she did, I wouldn't take her out again))

Looks as good as the day it came out the showroom.
