Has anyone in the UK ordered their Boxster with a manual ? PDK maybe a great gearbox but i would want the manual every time.
Me. 3.4s. I like manuals, not keen on autos.

Have you driven a PDK?
No but i just assume that with an auto you are missing out on the experience of what driving a sports car is all about. I will have to presume i am wrong. I have read about the PDK and it is a fantastic achievement, no doubt about that.

I think they still look great with the roof up.

I'm not based in UK (not sure if/why that is important), but I have ordered an 981S with manual. Test-drove both PDK and manual. Had a Golf V GTI with DSG, which was fantastic, but after a while the novelty wore off. Opted for manual purely for more involvement, even though I know I will be slower (than PDK). But hell, I'm buying it for driving enjoyment, not to set fastest laps at the 'Ring.

I did have an "S" PDK test drive for an afternoon, and although it probably makes sense if you drive mainly in an urban area, the lack of real involvement was not for me, and I have to say the manual box is quite superb. Also, the partial leather is perfectly satisfactory and I saw no point in the extra cost of full leather.

Love yellow Porsche's but the yellow interior options are too OTT for me.

Alcantara, which is always my comfort preference.
So, are they the standard sets? I am tired of full leather seats and fancy saving myself £700 odd quid on leather seats too!
Yes, standard seats which I find a lot more comfortable to those on my previous Mk2 TT.

Is the material surrounding the alcantara real leather or leatherette? It isn't clear on the Porsche website...???

Here's an image of a 981 I wasn't expecting to see quite so soon. smile

Looks like a gremlin as it sorted itself out with a reboot. Anybody else seen this?

Thanks for the warning. My 981 has done a similar mileage, but not seen your brake problem, yet.
