Hadn't followed 993 prices for ages until recently saw some on sale around the £35k mark (C4 cab... manual at least) and though it was relatively good value. At least when compared to what has happened to 964 and pre IB cars prices...

Funny how when I had my 964 C2 manual it was the cheapest 911 one could get, LHD even... Never thought they'd be appreciated more than the mighty 993!

Still think the 993 is the second most desirable air cooled, anything pre IB being most desirable to my eyes. Could have got a 2.2 S for £18k back in 2001 when got my 964!

Have you seen this RS recreation? Seems a bit "rich"??

It's cracking car, but comedic pricing and the steering wheel's on the "wrong" side.

Hi there,

Can you tell me more about the remap you had done as I feel my C4S could do with more power.

Thanks
Wayne, Chipwizards
Does work for Porsche UK
Very very good
He goes right through the varioram system.
I did a50k service first
Leads, plugs, caps, rotor arms oil, gbox oil
Brakes etc
He put it on the rolling road it was producing 245 hp ffs
I’d put a varioram hose on backwards
What an erse

He remapped it to show 305
Not much more, however it revs beautifully, no flat spots at all
Best dough I’ve done on her.

Wayne did my 993 NVR to 296bhp, very pleased. Again, not so much the power just so smooth now and feels a bit livelier. Also now get mega pops and bangs on the overrun with my Carnewal exhaust biggrin

I drove 250 miles to see him, well worth it.

Something about them not having the mapping is what I heard.
